Podcasts
are regular digital audio or video broadcasts that can be downloaded and played on mobile devices and personal computers. News agencies and other sources offer podcasts on a wide range of topics. Often podcasts are regularly updated in a series of new episodes, so users often subscribe to their favourite shows.

The Nokia Podcasting application allows you to find, subscribe to and download podcasts over the air with your Nokia N80. After downloading a podcast, you can listen to or watch it when you want.

You can choose whether the Podcasting application uses Wireless LAN (requires WLAN network access) or GPRS/WCDMA packet data (requires a packet data plan) to download podcasts to your Nokia N80.

Hello, i have some problem with my n80 here. I not sure whether is it all n80 having this problem or only mine.

My problem is only about the camera, otherwise, n80 ROCKS!

Photos taken by my camera get very very low quality even i had tried in 3mp, 2mp, and 1.3mp. All bad in resolutions. If take near image, it would be sometimes clear, if take a image from ur spot to 5-10 meter spot, the picture getting really blur, not clear at all.. if take long distance shot, like from my 6 floors apartment to ground, the picture not blur yet not clear as well, the quality not realistic..

The screen very very noisy when camera mode activated under even a little dark situation, photos taken, of course, noisy and blur under dark situations..

So as the video mode, if take video under even a little dark situation, the video quality really........

I did compared with my fren's 3230(1.2mp camera), the photos taken even far far clearer than my n80 does.. I went to gsmarena for the camera review, downloaded some of the sample photos taken by their n80, some a bit blur, but mostly clear..

As all i mentioned above, do not judge the clear-nest or blur-nest by ur n80's screen. Transfer it into ur good resolution PC's monitor, and judge it.

About the noise, u may judge directly from the screen of ur n80 if u take some photos under dark situation..

Now i started to regret to sold my W800i as it has good music player, good camera, good sound output, only the screen too small and lack of symbian OS.

Anyway, n80 still a very very very good phone if camera been neglected and have good battery life.

It has cool wifi that enable me to surf net, any website i used to surf when i using my laptop.

Download speed as fast as how fast the modem supports.

Cool html and xhtml viewer.

Cool and high class outlook(for silver cuz shinnyy).

Eye catching sliding phone(but eye catching phone means dangerous phone =p)

Not bad keypad with a lot of short cut key

Supa dupa display

Quite fast responds

Overall, perfect phone if the camera, low battery life, and springless sliding been neglected

At the end, just hope to get some responds from all n80 users, do ur n80 having same problem as mine? Pm me if can...

Thanks all!

seriously.. try using ur camera under the day light.. i've took lots of pics since i purchased this cameras.. most of it is indoors.. but.. there is one that i took under the sun light.. a pic of my college class mates.. and i viewed it in the com.. superb view.. but when it is dark.. camera and video = suck.. lol.. btw.. it doesn't really bother me cos i don't really bother bout the quality of the pic.. =)

Hey people. I dont own a N80. But i've been concsidering to get one. I would like to ask about the sound quality of the audio playback on the N80. Does the equiliser make any dramatic changes to the quality of the playback? Do the songs sound any better than the ones played on a N70?
And is the slider really that fragile? as in will it lose its sturdiness after long term usage? pls and thx
*
n70 and n80 has the same quality speaker.. it sound exactly the same.. n 73 is twice louder than both n70 and n80. but if u are using a head phone to listen on n80. the quality is much better than n70 because of the equalizer.. if u set ur equalizer to bass booster.. u can really feel the bass..

I second that if music is played with earphone attached to N80, it sounds fantastic as i tried it before, even with stock earphone. If u play the music with N80 loud speaker, it is OK but not as nice as it is in the earphone.
*
btw.. does the eaarphone really makes a difference? as in.. if i'm using a ipod earphone.. will it give me better bass and clarity?

smile.gif obviouly i think the n73 would have better camera bcos of autofocus and carl zeiss lens, if the n73 would have came out same time as the n80, i probably would have gotten the n73 myself, but then again, candy bar phone, the buttons are not covered and easily spoilt by pressing hard against the pants when sitting down or bending. smile.gif
*
candy bad phone no gaya la.. n80's slider might get loose.. but one thing for sure.. its stylish.. lol.. when u get very tired of the looseness of the slider.. just send ur phone for service.. when i got mine back... its like new.. tight and smooth
