Technically speaking is it worth it to get a silver N80i which i resent since i love the black pearl model. Or is it better to get the N80 black and then do the firmware upgrades to N80i features. Even then i suppose this would not guarantee the VOIP features right.

Damn sienz, can find the N80i in black color tho altho i've read it in reviews it does come in 2 colors also.

Wow...where did you got that model..most shops in LY...has da silver model only. Then again how to confirm a black N80i as it is not shown in the box or the phone itself.

me also hope get the answer.. juz say normal n80 can upgrade to n80i firmware.. then what the different with n80i? n80i got many new features but n80 didnt got but since it can update to n80i.. does n80 will have the feautures(such as radio with rds support)?

Coz, if its original I version, definitely there is an "I" printed on the phone. Mayb yours have been changed firmware. Not sure and no idea about it... haha.

As i rmb some1 post a site about that b4 in this thread. Try to look back... smile.gif Even without the I bside ur phone, but that doesnt matter also wert. As long as it is an Internet edition and not voiding your warranty is already ok.

Oh yea...may i know your N80 is an ap set or zitron?

as what i saw in a few nokia authorize dealers shop.. n80 internet edition will have the n80i printed instead of n80

im just afraid that the person i bought from has just used a normal n80 and flashed it with a n80i firmware.. sweat.gif and i've googled about the n80i and the pics does not have that extra "i" on the phone hmm.gif

btw my firmware is dated 13-10-2006

yup definitely a lot suspicion ahead as i've not seen a black version of the N80i in the shops yet and yes i'm referring to the Nokia original booths. Do let us know once you can confirm the phone status.

i'm not sure is it possible to flash normal n80 to n80i firmware.. u need to check that out

The usb or memory card is safe to pull out when there are not reading or writing activity.

And yes, N80 internet edition should have a i after N80.. check my signature u will understand. .... .... ....
Ok, i lied. THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY DIFFERENCE ON HARDWARE. no "i" after N80. rclxm9.gif Black and silver should be the same. should try both, the furnishing have some slight differences.

N80 internet edition just come with build in VOIP, but it doesn't mean u can easily set it up(depend on router). there are other application support VOIP like www.fring.com
