hey guyzz.. i wanna get a N80 to replace my stolen-K750i..

heard that the firmware has some glitch's.. is this true?

and how about the slider? all you N80 users out there, is the slider still working good after a few months?

i was sceptical about the slider for the first time too..

oh yeah is the top row of the keypad ie "1, 2, and 3" hard to press?

the loose slider is quite a common problem in n80s afaik....n da top row keys are pretty hard to press unless u have long fingernails/fingers

hm.. they have them there? how much did ya get it for? i'm going there in Nov and was thinking of getting one there if it's cheaper..
I donno how much my realtive got it... haha... He told me 800 USD +- . But kenot b ma. Malaysia Zitron set oni selling RM2400+ -. I guess he is mistaken the price of N80 and his Palm phone la...haha... This N80 dont have cingular word. My old motorola got cingular... haha...

omg.. that is such a drawback weii.. suddenly it just slides up in your pocket..

that's not so serious lah...just a minor drawback dat u will soon get used to.. 1 possible problem though,i heard dat da battery life is just average..n80 users care to clarify?

Calling for all N80 users who still suffer from Loose Sliding Mechanism:

I did it on my N80 and never look back, my N80 sliding is firm and steady until now, not even a slide movement  Some of the N80 users who tried my tips kinda like it...but still, try it at your own risk 

No it is not visible, at least for what i have done on my phone...hehe  it is very neat n tidy...unless u stare real hard into the sliding reel, u wont even notice it is there 

There isn't light for the bottom piece keypads.

Is it the top piece or the bottom piece of the N80?  The number keypads got light?

haha sorry my bad, the light is deem(dont know whether i spelt it right or not)...after i checked it in the dark only did i notice the blue light emerging from the number itself.  Anyway mine's working fine.

I think it is completely normal. N80 has light sensor build in, and the phone AI is trying to adjust the lighting as according to your environment. If you are in a bright place, the keypad lights might be turn off to save the battery usage...and when the environment become darker, the keypad light will turn on....nothing much to worry about

well if you don't define access point also can le...there will be an option to search for WiFi

just go to services>options>settings>access point>always ask.

by doing this, evytime u wan to connect to a particular website, the phone will search for available access points, either 3G, GPRS etc. from then on there'll b an option "search for WLAN".

click that to c a list or WLAN around ur area. simple.

and yes, the N80 comes wif light sensor. if im not mistaken its at ur secondary camera. try covering it in bright daylight n ur keypads will light up.  leave it uncovered n ur keypads wont light up. nice technology

Hey guys,

Anyone successfully removed the n80 faceplate? I wanna change to the black one, but tried removing the faceplate without success. I've googled a couple of brief tutorials on the net, but still unable to remove it, and got my n80 a few scratches along the way 

Anyone knows any sifu that can do it perfectly? dont mind paying abit.
