This is my test in shop
Tap Water : 80 Crystal Eco : 55 If you are looking for low TDS reading as your guide, as shown Aquaphor DWM 101 (RO filter) is able to achieve readings below 9. I believe you can make your decision now what yo buy A good example here, my tap water reading is 80 but your filtered reading show 87. How possible my unfiltered water is cleaner than your filtered water? That is why i say TDS is not 100% accurate but can only be used as a reference This post has been edited by zheilwane: Sep 9 2016, 11:55 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(zheilwane @ Sep 9 2016, 11:53 AM) This is my test in shop Efficiency 37% not bad. My reading taken from a 6 months old water filter, also my local tap water is not as clean as your location. The interest is to get the comparative filtration efficiency, and also the decay over a period of time to monitor water filter lifespan, instead of just a fix annual change. Please share more readings. |

QUOTE(lowya @ Sep 8 2016, 12:28 PM) Just tested Cosway Hexagon filter + additional filter You are funny enough to use remineralised filter for TDS test.before: 94ppm after: 87ppm efficiency: 7.4% pH strip shown 7 no change. bring the tds meter with you next time u go out test water around you to get an overall idea. took 3 seconds to get quick results, share yours. The filtered water is remineralised, of course the TDS reading is high as mineral is introduced later. This post has been edited by oyching88: Sep 10 2016, 12:48 AM |

i think depending on the type of mineral as well. My Aquaphor DWM 101 also has remineralization but shows reading less than 9.
lowya : You can drop by my shop to test If u wan to test my RO, i will need to fill up at home and bring to shop. |

i think TDS could be used as a guide to check on the micron filtration, if a filter company claim their filtration is 0.1 micron like mine but TDS reading shows 80pps or 90pps that means may be it is not 0.1 micron. Honestly, i tested Crystal Eco in many customer house and reading shows on average 65 pps.
However, i do believe as what oyching88 said, remineralization could affect TDS reading as well but as tested with my DWM 101 (RO system), reading still low even it has remineralization cartridge. So, depending on what is the mineral added back into the water. This post has been edited by zheilwane: Sep 10 2016, 05:42 PM |

Recommending Amway eSpring Water Treatment System. Also because i'm using and selling it. :-P
The UV-Carbon Cartridge reduces particulates and more than 140 contaminants; UV light destroys more than 99.99% of waterborne microorganisms, and the electronic monitoring system lets users know when it’s time for replacements. ;-) |

QUOTE(jackbanner @ Sep 17 2016, 12:18 PM) What is the brand name of the dispenser? Where is it made? How many liters per minute is it's capacity? It is an OEM brand not made by Aquaphor. I am using it myself and figures i manually test instead of catalogs usually showing higher figures. Hot Water 800ml Capacity Cold Water 1.1L Capacity Takes about 4 minutes to heat up the tank and water temperature measured in cup is 75 degree. I tried to boil with a kettle n test in cup shows 80 degree. |
