I forgot to ask. For RO machines I've been told that it uses a lot more water than what's useable.
Does anyone know how much more would it cost for my electric and water bill if I were to take Coway Cinnamon.
I'm assuming it doesn't use much electric as there's no temp control, but slightly concerned on the water bill for it.
*
Hmm very hard to tell, it depends on ur water usage and tariff bracket

Water probably doesn't cost much (my 2 pax home water bill only Rm7/mth)

If ur current TNB bill bout Rm100 range, I'd GUESS Coway adds another Rm5~10 cuz even though it has a tank, there's no constant reboiling

Just sharing.

For R.O water, it need 3 cup of water to produce for 1 cup of water for common machine.

Some machine with more advance filter then the ratio can be 2:1.

Ah I see, I made some rough calculations, and it would cost less than RM10/month if that 20W machine was working all day.
So going to assume below RM5 biggrin.gif

Ah yes, I've heard of that as well. But also, on rough calculations on how much everyone would drink, at most I'd pay extra RM5 here too.
So pretty economical I'd say nod.gif

Depends more on the mineral content, but yes, 2-1 is probably the minimum. Regardless, if you only is it for drinking, the cost is minimal.

Main question for the condo, do you have pipes exposed/accessible or hacking is required? Hacking can cost a lot!

No exposed pipes and I don't prefer hacking. The ceiling on top of the shower has a height of 45cm only - hence 3M AP902 is a no-go. I was adviced to extend the pipes down from the ceiling but even that I find it too much of a work (may consider this in future)

I read one of your earlier post on POE where we can install it as close as possible to the exit instead of the entry and decided to adopt this method. Bought 3 POEs to be installed under the kitchen sink (next to the existing DWS2500) and two bathroom basins. And a Philips KDF for the shower.

This is the existing cheap shower filter that I bought after my sister-in-law introduced me to the concept which I didnt knew existed. It turned this color within days - which prompted me to look into filters for the shower as well. The water runs clear and I had no idea it was so dirty.

I had also chatted with a management committee member after reading one of your post on epoxy pipeling - on whether it is possible (or is it too late) to use the method to "revive" the condo's pipes instead of hacking and changing.

want to ask about espring cartridge. been a user for 8 years. it sold for about RM600. but now as we all know shopee lazada selling for RM180 to RM200. those seller have rating 4.9 / 5.0. so my question is if those are fake why amway didn’t take any action? they had been selling for huge numbers. it surely affected their sales or revenue if those are fake 1. assuming 20000 sold x 600 =12,000,000 this mean amway lose 12m revenue because of fake cartridge.

unless those are genuine 1 or amway themselves secretly sell in shopee cheaply via 3rd party.

Common sense wont sell below RM540 because of the costing after 21% comm rate, not even deduct seller online platform fee goes between 5-9% rate.

I won't encourage anyone buy those RM2XX, I would rather recommend you switch to affordable entry level brand instead of eSpring.

Want to use eSpring, just buy genuine one.

Otherwise, switch those Aquasana or 3M alike.

Even, you buy those rental model also around RM50/month which usually end up around RM600-700 annually fee.

This is for PoU, not PoE.

Meaning you are going with multiple PoU rather than 1 PoE? It is a good choice, I would argue that it is even a much better choice than a PoE that mostly does nothing (to be honest it doesn't, except for removing sediment). With many locals PoU you can control what to filter out. Excellent choice! By the way, not sure if you already have DWS2500, but Aquaphor is pretty much the same for 1/2 price. But regardless, if you already have the 3M, it is a good system.

Those using LG Water filter, anyone knows why even after I manually replaced the filter, the maintenance date on the apps is not updated?

you need to set it in the machine itself -- vary by model.
for example, mine I need to press and hold one of the button for my water filter, but my air filter need to press and hold 2 buttons.
