icic. ok. tongue.gif for me, most of the time only one person (me) is using it. so the usage should be lower.
that's good. at least i can be assured of the 7 years of worry free experience.
ya. i hope they have better colours. silver one in bolehland does not look nice. white one also looks very normal and nothing special. blue is slightly better but also not very impressive.
rm8/day!?  shocking.gif

u mean rm8/month i guess?

yes, the cold water is damn cold i must. seriously even i want to drink cold water, i need to mix it with ambient water, becos it is simply too cold.  tongue.gif

yeah. i also believe that tankless should use less electricity.

No prob bro.

Rm8/ month is indeed ok considered the convenience that is bought by the water purifier. 🤪

I believe most users do not hit the highest electricity tariff bracket, like my case it's only RM4/mth of electricity biggrin.gif

Good evening, i am looking for higher output system for community center

below are reply for the guide question:

1. landed or condo? landed community center

2. how many pax in your household? about 200-500 depends on occassion

3. got senior / babies / people with disease like kidney failure for example in the house? yes

4. can you able to do some small DIY installing yourself or not? (like replacement filter yourself?) yes

5. how much u afford to installment per month for at least 5 years? 50/mth or 100/mth or 150/mth?
6. or do u prefer 1-time off purchase? below 1k or 2k or 3k?
Prefer 1 time purchase, budget to be determined still looking for options

7. do you own external water filter yet? no

8. hot/water function is it a must for you? will you willing to fork out another RM50/mth electricity bill for the feature? or you just stick with thermal pot + fridge cold water? only need normal room temperature water no need hot/cold

actually we just need to provide normal drinking water, instead of ordering 5 gallons bottle every time, mainly for events like charity or community activity.

Apology if this is the wrong section, since this is not exactly a home requirements.

Thanks in advance. notworthy.gif

Take Aquaphor Pro for example. Cartridge life span is 10k liters, make it 8k to be sure. Replacement is 450RM. So you can get 8k liters for 450RM, now you can do the calculation whether it is worth it. Each cartridge has time+L limitations, whether for home use or for community center it doesn't matter.

Hi bro, high possibility if you choose those using tank and using old technology to keep the water warm.

Tankless one, myself only consume around RM4 per month.

Those with tank will cost more electricity than those tankless models, but probably only in range of RM20/mth, not RM50~100 la biggrin.gif

Cuz they constantly boil or chill the water stored inside the tank even when not in use, whereas tankless purifiers only heat or cool water when needed, so will use less electricity if u use less hot/cold water

In my case, on average I use 120L of tepid water and 7L of cold/hot water every month, average monthly power consumption bout 9kWh, so at my TNB tariff bracket it's about RM4/mth

Tank, yes, aprox RM80 (average)
Tankless, ask other LG expert here. I don't have the statistic.

Wow do they really use that much?

I never use one so i could only google how much power they use, with both hot and cold water, the range is 72~84 kWh per month

Those with only cold water will use much lesser power

Yes, buy outright cheaper by RM480 but 5 yrs lesser warranty

Rental
RM60 x 12 mths x 7 yrs = RM5,040 (Free 7 yrs filters and warranty)

Buy outright
RM3,200 (Free 2 yrs filters and warranty) + RM1,360 (5 yrs filter package only, no warranty) = RM4,560

But this is only if u buy 5-yrs filter package one-shot, if buy year by year, 1 year filter package is RM320

Icic. Thanks for the explanation. It helps. Then I am ok with my choice. I actually opted for rm60 per month option.

Seriously there are ppl buying 5 years of supply just to save cost?

The filters (unused one) can be kept for such long duration oh?

No la, LG do not deliver 5 yrs of filter one-shot to ur house for u to keep xD

U are just paying in advance for 5-yrs, but LG will still deliver 1 or 2 filters to u every 6 mths

icic... then it makes sense... tongue.gif

i wonder like my case, it is 7 years rental (rm60), will there be a case that after 7 years the current model i have is already end of life, even filters also no longer selling that i can get replacement filter for free? hahaha.

for WD516AN, do i need to manually doing the Water Outlet Sterilization myself?

rental (7 years self-service): total cost is rm5040
rental (5 years self-service): total cost is rm5400

why would one goes for 5 years rental?

besides, what are the differences between these two models? which one is better?

So far the filtration tech are pretty mature, so from biz point of view I believe LG will try to use the same filters even for future water purifier models to minimize cost, but that's just my opinion, no one knows wat will happen in the future biggrin.gif

As for the water outlet sterilisation, yes, suggest do it once a month, cuz UV sterilisation only kills bacteria, but dust might still stick to the outlet over time

Just put a glass under so it catches the hot water while the water outlet is being flushed

With 5 year rental plan, customer gets to choose one of these at the end of 3rd year at no penalty/cost :
1) Continue using the current unit
2) Upgrade/Change to another model
3) Cancel and return the unit

So naturally with that flexibility, the 5-yrs plan will be more expensive than the 7-yrs plan where customer is tied for the whole 7 yrs biggrin.gif

518 and 516 only 3 differences, prices are exactly the same:
1) 518 has 10ml volume control
2) 518 has favourite setting
3) 518 water outlet is fixed horizontally once installed (due to the square shaped design), 516 water outlet can be swing horizontally freely, both still have automatic up-down water outlet though thumbup.gif

Even though 518 offers 2 new functions, some of my customers still chose 516 cuz it's more convenient to fill up cooking pot etc.
