IMO LG. Both are good, but LG seems to be burning money now, offering dirt cheap rentals, hoping to gain the market share. Not sure how it will work out for them, but for you as a consumer, if you are looking for a dispenser, it is time to grab it.

Hi bro I'm advising u as an LG agent, so i know all the technical details

The similarities : Both are tankless, has s/steel internal piping, similar temperature and volume settings etc.

The diff:
1. Both has moving tap but LG is auto, SK is manual by hand
2. LG sterilises its water outlet with UV LED more frequently (every 1 hr compare to SK Magic every 2 hrs)
3. LG sterilises its internal piping automatically every week (not sure about SK Magci, no info on their website)
4. Most importantly, LG price is 3,200 or 4,000 with 2 yrs of filter, SK Magic price is 4,140 with only 1 yr of filter
5. LG filter change price is 320/yr, SK Magic is 540/yr

All in all, if u go with LG, u saved 1480 while getting more functions at the same time

For POE, Intact is good enough.

For POU, I suggest you may consider LG PuriCare which is they offer very competitive price now. In term of warranty, support and replacement parts, LG PuriCare is better than what you consider now.

I as user have use LG PuriCare water purifier and air purifier which is help me a lot compare to previous time. Because I'm confident to the product, I'm join as agent and our team is one of the largest group in Malaysia and also LG PuriCare strong in term of support.

I am not an LG agent and I find they are a bit aggressive in this thread pushing a sale, but in this case, do not get this Intact for this price, LG is genuinely a better option, take advantage of their low rentals while it lasts, if you need hot/cold function. Intact slapped a logo on an OEM dispenser. They may have good intentions, but if their supplier (and you do not even know who they are) stops producing these, you will be left with a useless unit. If it was sub 2k, then maybe worth the risk, but for 2500 I wouldn't.

So what did you chose? I've the exact situation as yours, looking at 3m now

Can anyone enlighten me on how to choose and what i should watch out for?
Looked at a few already some china OEM, intact, nesh, etc but not really sure how to choose..
Im quite inclined to get the nesh super high as it seems most promising from the sales people talk, but would like to get some opinions from sifus here

Why do you need outdoor membrane filter?

My parents have had one for the past 5yrs and water has been much cleaner since then and no complains..
So now im planning to get one myself combined with espring filter for drinking and 3m aqua pure c-complete for cooking.

Or why shouldn’t i get an outdoor membrane filter?
Sorry forgot to mention im using it for a landed property staying 5 people. Im planning on getting it because can really tell the difference between before and after installation in the frequency required to change the filter for espring at my parents home after using thr outdoor membrane filter

What water purifier is good and worth to change to now? My Coway service contract about to finish been using same water filter for close to 10 years already.

How about their after sales service? Service the water filter ownself or got agent help? Hope it is easy if self service.

Reason why Coway need agent to service because of using tank to hold the water, if it's not clean always, it is very easy to grow microorganisma inside the tank.

Do consider LG, they using tankless technology and self service is easy as twisting water bottle cap or you can still opt for technician agent service if you want.

If can DIY sure can saved money.

I use Midea X12 from Shopee.

10. Easy filter replacement, just twist and turn

If purchase outright only 3200/4000 free 2 yrs filter (other brand only 1 yr), depending on whether u can DIY filter replacement

If rental it range from RM60~110, depending on both the contract period and whether u can DIY filter change, filter and warranty follow contract period

In future want to replace filter also cheaper than many brands, only 320/yr, if buy 5 yrs one-shot average per yr even cheaper

Definitely the most worthy in Msia market right now, other brands giving less but charge more; or, giving slightly more but charges much much more

I'm advising u as an LG agent, so u can trust the above with confidence

What is different between indoor drinking water filter vs water dispenser? Which one more economical and low maintenance cost?

Heard that water dispenser run on electricity, so there's additional cost. Any ideas how to have safe drinking water at economical way?

POU (Point of Use) aka Indoor Water Drinking/Treatment System

You need to use a few formula to calculate:
1. System ownership total/final cost (example: RM3000 to outright or RM120x36mths = RM4320)
2. Annual Maintenance fee (example: first year is FREE, 2nd year need replacement for around RM600)

So above total up, you know how much you need to spend on a system. And you dont replace your system like your shoes or phone every 1-2 years. System will last at least 10-15 years.

And the water filtration litre to calculate. Example RM600 per replacement of filter/maintenance. It can do lets say 5000L, then it will be RM0.12/litres of water.

Water dispenser, you also need a system, lets say Spritzer brand.
System dispenser are between RM40-900.

You need space to stock up also.
Spritzer Natural Mineral Water - 8 Cartons Bundle (9.5L X 2) @ RM178 (for 152L) = RM1.17/litres of water.

Water filter = Pipe water > Water filter (maybe process into hot/cold water) > Directly drinkable

Water dispenser = Drinkable water > process into ambient/hot/cold water > Drinkable

Water filter "filters" pipe water into drinkable water, so u no need to cook water any more

Water dispenser only "dispense" water, u need to put in drinkable water in the first place, it doesn't filter water


Water filter with tank will cost less electricity than tankless one cuz they heat and cool water instantly (that's why ppl say the water heater u use for shower cost a lot electricity), but i will still suggest getting LG tankless, cuz even though higher electricity cost, per month only RM3~5 depending on ur current tariff bracket
