So which water filter that provide cold & hot water are recommended for indoor?
*
For hot & cold water, what you need is water dispenser. You can easily get from any water filter shop for less than RM500, no need to spend few thousands.

Actually for hot & cold water the dispenser will need to have water tanks. Since filtered water will remove Chlorine which intend to kill bacteria, there is potential for microorganism to grow in the water tank. Hot & cold water is just a fancy additional features for "convenience", but how often do you really need hot & cold water?

in this forum, u can c 3M, Espring & Aquaphor these 3 focus on clean water only. Not alkaline, not RO, not energy water nor miracle water.

I m selling only 3M and Aquaphor. For Espring, there are many Amway Seller here

I don't think any of those can remove heavy metal.

RO water may not be good for health but I think they do.

That's partly because the typical Malaysian will complain like hell but will not bother to take action to exert their rights. Typical "No Action, Talk Only".

That would brings up another topic that probably need another Q&A thread at /k.

Off-topic:
I complain to McDonald today at website for missing Hash Brown in my Breakfast during take away this morning, and instant got call from HQ to follow up my case, and branch manager call me to apologize and deliver 2 more Hash Brown to my doorstep with 4 free voucher to claim today. I do exert my consumer right as always. blush.gif

Good for you. But I expect many would just complaint about it to their friends and that would be the end of it. Seen that too often.

I m using Aquaphor DWM 101 RO system. RO is the purest water quality but there are several disadvantage of it as well. I do have 1 unit brand new here, any1 wanna try it out, i can offer special price smile.gif

From my unit i notice :
1) Storage capacity 5L, during CNY we cook a lot and seems like 5L is not enough for us.
2) A little noise from the filter could b just my unit as i m not using their original faucet.
3) WHen it is new, flushing could take a longer time

Anything to support your claims?
From what i know, purest water is distilled water.

As this thread is discussing home appliances, wasnt thinking of distilled water.

Among household water filter system, i believe RO is the cleanest as it filters almost everything including mineral. Even Aquaphor do sell RO system but i still think Crystal Eco is a better choice if consider cost, maintenance, size and etc.

RO water is not a healthy way for long run.
You may read the report by WHO about demineralized water

RO water may be "cleaner" than filtered water. But WHO says RO water isn't the best water for human consumption.

Unless you have kidney failure, otherwise I can't find a reason to take RO water for home consumer use.

believe it or not, i have been in this forum for many years, i have read most of the things even this WHO report. I posted this WHO link previously as well smile.gif

FYI, i m drinking RO with remineralize system not demineralize, so it is OK. Wanted to know the difference between Aquaphor DWM 101 (RO system) and normal Aquaphor Eco water, so installed the RO in my house and ECO in my office. After using for 1 year, i think i would go for ECO if i was given to choose as i do believe that it is not necessary to drink water that is too clean and it is more user friendly. Different people have different perceptions and views, that is why some people opt to get RO or Alkaline or just clean water like Amway Espring and Eco.

Moreover, i dont intend to market RO any soon and also i did suggest Aquaphor Crystal Eco water filter (not RO system) it is using CARBON BLOCK similar to Espring. Carbon Block can reduce HEAVY METALS, Rust, odor, chlorine and etc (not 100% remove but reduce)

However, there are some customers who are very health conscious and do not wish to have certain chemical in the water such as aluminum suggested by Optiplex330 then you need RO to filter it as per the link given by Optiplex330. Previously i have a customer looking for RO because he doesnt wan to have fluoride in his drinking water and the only way is RO.

As per my labtest report with Aquaphor Crystal Eco, the Aluminium content in our water supply (tested with malaysia water) is 0.07mg/l while the recommended standard is 0.2mg/l. So, we actually do not need RO system, unless you dont even wan the 0.07mg/l then u need RO system.

Thanks for sharing the useful news about cuckoo and appreciate your discussion smile.gif

On carbon filter. they are more effective in removing organic contaminant or those with Carbon atom. Generally not effective in removing inorganic stuff like Aluminium, Copper, Mercury and stuff like that. Not saying those stuff are dangerously high in our drinking water.

Agree, normal granular carbon is not effective and a good quality carbon block can only reduce but not fully remove heavy metal in water.

To effectively remove them, you need RO.

I have to emphasize again, i m not supporting RO and i do think RO is not necessary unless you wish to effectively remove certain type of contaminants.
