aiks, all these chlorine and PRECIPITATE so confusing, like attending science class now. Cut the story short, just snap a video to prove it, ezier than all these confusing scientific terms.
From what i guess even chlorine does precipitate, when the water comes back, it will push it and mix it back with the water. |

thanks for the feedback wiwi and exsakai
Rated Capacity by companies are just estimation not accurate, depending on water quality as well. For your case, you cant install outdoor filter in your condo, hence water is extremely dirty for your old area and normal filters could get clogged fast but with AQUAPHOR aqualen technology and 5 micron pre-filter, it could easily last 1year+ without clogging |

QUOTE(jack208 @ Jun 18 2017, 10:19 PM) for those installing outdoor filter, do you have another piping that bypasses the filter - in case the filter got clogged and you did not get the chance to replace filter, you can switch on the bypass piping - else water supply into house is blocked, no? Membrane filter yes, must do bypass (possible to get clogged)Sand filter optional, my own house no bypass as it will look ugly with the extra pipe. QUOTE(noname2188 @ Jun 20 2017, 12:09 PM) Thanks. Any recommendation for outdoor filter? For outdoor, mainly there are two typesFor indoor filter, is there such thing indoor water filter/purifier could offer hot, cold and warm water? 1) Membrane 2) Sand there is other type like Diamond using cloth also but common will be membrane and sand. Each type has their own pros and cos,so it depends on what u really need as an outdoor water filter Best Water quality and Design = Membrane Cost effective, low maintenance cost better flow rate = sand For indoor, if u need hot, cold and warm, then u need to get a water dispenser This post has been edited by zheilwane: Jun 20 2017, 05:41 PM |

QUOTE(noname2188 @ Jun 20 2017, 05:55 PM) I heard some says about waterco for outdoor filter. Issit good? Based on this topic, Diamond has lot of issues which I am not planning to get. water dispenser is just the machine, most water dispenser has built in filters like Coway and Cuckoo. So for indoor, get water dispenser suffice? not need indoor water filter? Aquaphor on the other hand is an under sink water filter (room temperature) but u can add on their water dispenser if u need hot and cold water, for warm, nd to mix manually |

QUOTE(xproc @ Jun 27 2017, 10:55 AM) aquaphor water flow rate definitely is better than mine based on video shown by zheilwane bro on youtube... coz my incoming water pressure is not high so the water flow out from filter is slow also... for 2 liter need about 3-4 minute (if directly drawing)... yes, lots of things not explain the in the catalog. I bliv many of you purchase things and hoping it to be that good but end up not upto expectation. so for those who buying new water filter need consider the water flow rate also beside all those certification etc... Similarly, there are customers who bought expensive filters but within 5 - 6 months clog and require replacement regularly, low flow rate and etc etc |

QUOTE(audy @ Jun 28 2017, 11:02 AM) Zheilwane, any promo coming up for Aquaphor Crystal Eco cartridges, say during Merdeka Day timeframe? Aquaphor has maintained its replacement cartridge price RM 450 for 3 years , no price increase and no promo. Other brands jack up the price and occasionally do promo which is still expensive actually. Also, I read someone traded in their old cartridges...is there some kind of rebate? Need to bring the old cartridges in? |

QUOTE(myron649 @ Jul 4 2017, 04:38 PM) hi all... most membrane are 0.01 micron (Hollow Fibre Membrane) : Mesh Size = SAME for most brandshow to differentiate good and bad outdoor membrane filter? in term of flowrate? mesh size? tq I would say more than 90% or may be 100% the membrane filters in Malaysia are actually OEM in CHINA and they are actually +- the same thing with different branding only. Membrane filters generally have two types 1) Hollow Fibre membrane 2) Multipore membrane or some name it multibore or 7 capillary Membrane has different types of material, PAN is mainly used in malaysia (cheapest) while some brands do have PVDF and PVC which are better 1) PAN 2) PVDF 3) PVC 4) and etc etc With this, may be u can google and get detail info about the type and material of the membrane. Hence, u will get a more accurate and neutral answer NOTE : FLOWRATE and Membrane durability against water pressure in the catalogs could be inaccurate. For example, some brands spec their membrane filter can withstand upto 8 bar of pressure but actually it is referring to the filter casing is able to withstand upto 8 bar while normal PAN - Hollow Fibre can only withsand 3bar + (Not specify in catalog) This post has been edited by zheilwane: Jul 5 2017, 09:51 AM |

QUOTE(Vinx @ Jul 11 2017, 01:52 AM) PM me the price for the below items: Item no4 is 0.5 micron not 0.11. 3M AP902 2. 3M AP DWS1000 3. Culligan WSH-C125 4. 3M AP Easy Cyst Full Flow 5. 3M HCD-2 For item 4 and 5 are optional as I am still considering, but do quote me the price for 1,2, and 3 along with their catridges for maintenance. From your opinion, according to the items listed above; would my water filteration system would be overdo? From what I read online, item no.4 can filter 0.1 micron. Would it be suitable for drinking? I got another question is that, my concealed piping is rusting (from what I can tell by the look of the external port). As I know, rusted piping would cause amount of iron and my current piping aged about 10 years (I heard the max is 20 years). Would it still be safe after using filteration products? http://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/company-us/all-...91865871&rt=rud best to change the pipes, but if u cant, then your best option will be 3M DWS2500 or Aquaphor Crystal Eco (0.1 micron filtration). I do not sell 3M products u can check lazada for the pricing, price control, all dealers are selling +- the same price Actually a 5 micron filtration is sufficient to significantly reduce rust. But to be more effective, more carbon + finer filtration would be able to reduce odor and iron This post has been edited by zheilwane: Jul 11 2017, 12:12 PM |

QUOTE(ju146 @ Jul 16 2017, 01:29 PM) hi Zhei Master Filters are mainly to reduce sediments and rust only upto 5 micron (for sand type)what is the benefit difference between Crystal Eco and solo? my apartment has a master filter from the management (by bactfree) and the water quality is quite ok. Will the solo alone ok for me as drinking water? However, there are other chemicals and heavy metals in our water that a regular POE cant filter. No filter is able to claim 100% removal of heavy metals and chemicals, most only claim able to REDUCE upto 80-99%, so the difference between a cheap and expensive filter is that the percentage of reduction is higher and also the number of contaminants that it is able to reduce. A master filter is only able to pro-long the life of the drinking filter (prevent it from clogging fast) and is unable to improve water quality significantly. |

difference between a branded and a cheap filter
From my survey previously on deciding what filter to sell in my shop 1) Reliability As posted previously, some cheap filters label how good they are but in fact they are not. Example : Labeled carbon block but it is actually granular carbon only 2) Filtration Quality Big companies do invest on R & D to produce good filters but OEM brand they just make it cheap, filter cartridge could look big but inside is hollow. 3) After Sales Service Most OEM products do not have onsite service, warranty is given by the seller not importer. After few years, may be no parts or they discontinued the model, u have to buy new filter |

Internal thinking to get from cosway, just would like to know whether 3M is good for external use? Yearly replacement cost will be RM 600, if high usage may b 8 to 10 months once. Hence, most purchase it for condo with limited space and low water consumption |

QUOTE(alan8311 @ Aug 29 2017, 05:03 PM) sand filter is the lowest maintenance cost. Water filter indoor u r targeting cosway or water dispenser type like coway? if dispenser type, getting an under sink filter and a dispenser separately will save on maintenance cost as wellEg : 1) Rental Scheme by most brand RM 100 per month, 1 year RM 1200 2) Under sink filter like aquaphor cost RM 450 for yearly replacement, hence u save RM 750 per year but you need to pay RM 2.5k for initial machine cost This post has been edited by zheilwane: Aug 29 2017, 05:21 PM |

QUOTE(cat2008 @ Sep 4 2017, 08:05 PM) hello guys Aquaphor definitely is within your budget, with 0.1 micron hollow fibre membrane, carbon block with aqualen and low maintenance cost. Definitely a good buy am looking for water flter. I dont need the hot cold features jus need the normal filter to be attached to the sink as it would be more convenient for me. I dont know why i need alkaline water , so any proper filter u guys would recommend? prefer not more than rm3k for the machine. is aquaphor or 3m ok? thanks |
