all drinking filters can only reduce heavy metal like 90-99% and not eliminate.
Basic carbon block can easily reduce
1) Chlorine
2) Bad taste and odor
3) Chloramines
4) Fine sediment
5) Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts
6) Organic chemicals such as pesticides and solvents
7) Heavy metals such as lead and mercury
source : http://www.wqpmag.com/carbon-block-manufacturing

better quality & quantity carbon blocks or higher quality filtration will have higher % of reduction, never seen anything can 100% remove

My water filter diverter cannot fit onto water tap.  Anyone has any solution or anyone selling the adapter for this size?

@zheilwane, does Aquaphor water dispenser uses stainless steel water tank? For the hot water, is it re-boiling or instant boil?
*
If u wan instant boil, i can also get it for you

The standard dispenser for Aquaphor is with stainless steel tank and re-boiling

For sharing the scams used for selling water filters. Heard exact same lines of lies in recent home expo for water filters. Good video to watch.

very interesting video smile.gif

However in malaysia, such test and gimmicks are mainly for Alkaline water only.

True, not much choices for middle classers like us, most of the filters are overpriced due to advertising and high commission to salesperson.

Budget wise bought 3m ap easy complete but wasted my money as it is not suitable for my area , water is too dirty and management does not allow us to install an outdoor filter. Filter gets clogged after a few months of usage even with my low usage.

So traded in for aquaphor and works well for me for 1year, planning to drag another few months before changing the cartridge, since the flow is still ok.
*
From what i know, carbon block is most effective within 1 year period, whether you use it or not, it is immersed under water, hence performance will drop overtime. Most brands that i know recommend 1 year or estimated capacity, which ever comes first. So, best to change.

Why you want to filter the water that u will be use to wash dish?

Why not you just filter the water that u want to drink?
*
THe left tap is mainly for washing dishes, the right is for filter but it has a director and can anytime switch to normal water for washing as well.

This installation is only for those who do not have a water source under the sink. Originally Aquaphor is an undersink filter with a dedicated filter tap FREE

Hot Water in water filter is safety to drink???

how is  it  cook in water filter????

My advise, Look at what filter media they are providing in the filter system rather blindly believing in tested in accordance to NSF. As explained many times, a RM 400 filter small carbon block design can already pass NSF 42 and 53. So, what so great about getting NSF. 42 and 53? It only sets minimum standards, unless u have a long list of tested chemicals like Amway, then that would be convincing smile.gif

I would usually tell this to my customers

Water filter is for whole family's health, buy something that you think would be able to provide clean water and not something that is cheap and comfortable to your wallet. If one can afford a smart phone that cost RM 2-3k, i dont see why they cant afford a good drinking filter smile.gif
You see something branded, cheap, u just buy without doing any research, that is really not wise as you could end up wasting more money in changing your filter system next time

small cup is 150ml, my glass is 230ml, 300ml if you want more water like refill in water bottle... the bottom compartment can remove to refill tall water bottle...

only 4 button,
first one is safety lock for 45 70 85 and 100 degree water, 25 degree no need press this unlock button
second button is change temperature, again is 25 45 70 85 100 degree can change
third button is produce water, when producing water you can press this button anytime to stop the water....
fourth button is change water quantity to be produce... 150ml 230ml 300ml, it will produce this amount of water then stop automatically, other dispenser you need to press and hold like siao, actually i like this more

all button is glass touch sensitive button, not physical button like seers tend to broken after some times

i think this heating method is like those nespresso coffee machine... the sound also same, just this one cannot put the capsule

the con of this is no continuous pour (i think is because this instance heater the fresh water storage only 1 liter tank, after draw some water you need wait the main filter to refill automatically back the machine)...

for cooking and other water still use the direct outlet at countertop...

this one need wall mounted as it cannot stand on itself coz is only about 10cm thick...

thanks for the detail review and videos smile.gif my local supplier has something similar but cost much more, was planning to connect to Aquaphor water filter

Yes bro, I'm recommending 3M CTM-01 with C-Complete cartridge because it offers affordable price with NSF certified water quality.
As the matter of fact, I will share and recommend any brand which offers low price point + good water quality. For example, I recommended Culligan IC-EZ-4 as the most value for money NSF certified water filter @ USD60.00+ 3 years ago.
I also recommended Secure back wash POE filter because of it's low pricing, cheaper cartridges, built in back wash without the ugly additional control valve/piping for back wash, compact size etc. BTW, it will nice if you get the dealership for this POE filter. The built in back wash with one easy twist is amazing.
https://www.google.com.my/search?q=secure+b...y&client=safari
11street ada, lelong pun ada.
I think the company never bother to advertise it's product, it distributed mainly via water filter shops and hardware shops.

yup, i know u r a genuine forumer sharing your experience smile.gif

I think hardware shops in Klang area should have it at cheaper price without installation. just need to call New World Marketing for the list of dealerships. You are a handy man, installation should not be a problem for you, more so, it doesn't need extra piping and control valves for back wash.
C-CTM-01 cartridge is tested in accordance to NSF/ANSI standard only, no certification, that's why cheaper. Whereas C-Complete is NSF tested and certified and using the same filter head (picture below) as in CTM-01. Therefore both cartridges are interchangeable.
Just change the cartridge in CTM-01 with C-Complete to turn 3M CTM-01 to NSF certified 3M AP Easy Complete.

if u have CTM-01, once it is time to change, can u cut it and compare with AP Easy complete? to c what is the size difference or material difference inside? that would b a good comparison

I am looking for outdoor water filter, already have e spring for drinking water, anyone can suggest what should i consider? 3m Outdoor? my kitchen maker sells Rubine Membrane Outdoor filter, but i am not sure how good it is

Also anyone heard of Filken UF system, saw them recently a Perfect Living, any reviews or users here?
*
u may wanna ask them to show u how the filter looks like after installation...

Most of the membrane filters in malaysia are HOLLOW FIBRE MEMBRANE and they look like this after installation (on the left) while we actually got our supplier to manufacture a better design (on the right) with new generation membrane MultiPore system

Oh ya, I never though of that.
Physically, C-CTM-01 is about 20% smaller than C-Complete. Smaller diameter and shorter length in dimension. But the connector for the filter head remains the same for both cartridges. The carbon block undoubtedly should be smaller than C-Complete and as for material differences, I guess it should be the same as in C-Complete since both are tested in accordance to NSF/ANSI Standard, just that CTM-01 didn't pay for the certification to keep the price low. BTW, I'm just guessing, I'm not sure if NSF tests, certification and listing cost money or it's entirely free. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Would be great if u can show us next time smile.gif then forumers can get some idea how the filter looks like inside smile.gif

a lot of sales man selling the sand filter tells me membrane gets clogged easily and expensive to change the filter cartridge. ( around 500 not including plumber cost)

I need to decide soon, want to finish reno and move in to the house.

still messy compared to Multipore, thatz y i suggest ask the seller show some photos and explain then compare, look at the actual products and snap some photos to compare, that would be even better smile.gif

1) First link did not install timer (less thing) the messy pipes as actually is on the right which forumers might overlook in the photo, hence looks neater

2) 2nd link if you notice, 4 valves are missing they did not do bypass and backwash function, short cut smile.gif

Wow Filken RM 2400, MultiPore is nicer, cheaper and also using the latest membrane system smile.gif

Currently in malaysia, Coway is using multipore system also not many companies have it yet because cost exp, margin low
