Hi sifus,

I need to replace my water filter cartridges.

One is placed outside and the others are placed inside. I think these are Korean made. Do you know how much and where can I go to get quotes?  I asked 1stop malaysia water filter from their website and they quoted expensive installation charges.

This is intended for my condo unit and it was purchased by my mom (the unit is my parents') and the shop has now closed for good.

Any help would be appreciated. Any alternative ideas are also appreciated.

[attachmentid=6772597]

filter placed outside (dirty AF) - it says Atlas Filtri, not sure where in Malaysia I can find this and who can install

[attachmentid=6772636]

filters placed inside - the empty slot next to it is supposed to house the water filter cartridge with the candle but the water pressure for my sink is too high that it cracked two cartridges already so i decided not to install it

[attachmentid=6772655]

the candle and the broken cartridge

[attachmentid=6772665]

the extra filters for the ones under my sink
*
For outdoor i think can get from places like Aeon. Indoor if really cant find, you can bring the cartridges to my shop and i can try to look for compatible ones or better still upgrade it to Aquaphor Crystal Eco smile.gif

I will be away til 10th June but my shop is still open. I will help u to find when i am back. Alternatively, you can measure the size of the cartridge and PM me. Will reply once i m back, leaving soon.

Hello all,
I am looking for a water filter for my apartment.
As I already have limited counter space, I am looking for a under the counter water filter type.
Just FYI, my aprtment will have 2 seperate sinks, one main and another on my "island".
I plan to put the water filter under the island sink, and use the faucet from the island.

Initially i was think of a membrane type, but I am not rethinking this to avoid RO water.
What other alternatives can I get (i am in Penang btw) and what are the cost/maintenance?

Edit:
What is important, to keep my countertop clean, I plan to avoid having another faucet.
Water flow maybe? will be a problem, but I am seeking for solutions..
*
THere are many types of membrane, only those with 0.0001 micron is RO. Example Aquaphor Crystal eco with 0.1 micron is using Hollow Fibre Membrane, this is not RO water. 0.1 micron can filter bacteria but cannot filter minerals

if market rate is 3.6k and the seller is selling for rm 2.5k, i would think

1) He is selling off his old stock as per nightfelix suggestion but that means amway salesperson got a margin of RM 1k+ (very good profit)

2) It is a stolen goods. Previously my Aquaphor Filters also got stolen and sold in Mudah at a very low price.

3) Imitation? Never heard of it before haha quite impossible i guess.

To me, i still prefer to buy stuff from a reliable source and able to provide good after sales service. I always think there is no such thing as a big frog hopping around the street (邊度會有咁大隻蛤乸隨街跳) Get it from chickytien la, anything got problem just write it in the forum, i bliv he will immediately get it fixed for you. I like buying stuff from lowyat members, as i believe they must have very good customer service or else customer will start giving them bad reviews and then it will b hard for them to get new customers

Amway eSpring vs 3M DWS2500T, which one is better if given the price is the same?
*
no 100% to this, got pros and cons to each filters but end of the day AMWAY and DWS2500 both also produce premium quality tap water

1) DWS2500 less electrical components, less problem. Online comments several customers got problem with AMWAY indicator and electrical components.

2) Espring got UV light, DWS2500 dont have

3) DWS2500 replacement cartridge more expensive than Espring.

4) DWS2500 is for undersink, save space, and looks nice.

5) DWS2500 does not require electricity, no nd standby plugpoint for it.

For Premium Quality yet affordable can get aquaphor crystal Eco with 0.1 micron filtration.

*
Originally it is meant for above sink, under sink need to add $$. If u are choosing either 1 and cost is not an issue then it would b hard to decide. However, from your previous post, i guess your heart already belongs to Espring smile.gif

Since cost is not an issue, better get it from a reliable seller, i c chickytien quite active posting amway here, he should b a good seller like me ahhaha.

i thought all the while kangen promote their water like miracle can cure lots of sickness, skin problem and also used in hospitals that is why they are selling for RM 12k. Now the company say no such thing... so why pay so much for just alkaline water?

Recently seems like kangen and coway got into trouble already, i have several Amway friends keep on sharing the news smile.gif

My recommendation drink clean water instead of gimmick water.

in this forum, u can c 3M, Espring & Aquaphor these 3 focus on clean water only. Not alkaline, not RO, not energy water nor miracle water.

I m selling only 3M and Aquaphor. For Espring, there are many Amway Seller here

Which RO system you think able to remove 100% of it? or 90%??
*
I m using Aquaphor DWM 101 RO system. RO is the purest water quality but there are several disadvantage of it as well. I do have 1 unit brand new here, any1 wanna try it out, i can offer special price smile.gif

From my unit i notice :
1) Storage capacity 5L, during CNY we cook a lot and seems like 5L is not enough for us.
2) A little noise from the filter could b just my unit as i m not using their original faucet.
3) WHen it is new, flushing could take a longer time

As this thread is discussing home appliances, wasnt thinking of distilled water.

Among household water filter system, i believe RO is the cleanest as it filters almost everything including mineral. Even Aquaphor do sell RO system but i still think Crystal Eco is a better choice if consider cost, maintenance, size and etc.

believe it or not, i have been in this forum for many years, i have read most of the things even this WHO report. I posted this WHO link previously as well smile.gif

FYI, i m drinking RO with remineralize system not demineralize, so it is OK. Wanted to know the difference between Aquaphor DWM 101 (RO system) and normal Aquaphor Eco water, so installed the RO in my house and ECO in my office. After using for 1 year, i think i would go for ECO if i was given to choose as i do believe that it is not necessary to drink water that is too clean and it is more user friendly. Different people have different perceptions and views, that is why some people opt to get RO or Alkaline or just clean water like Amway Espring and Eco.

Moreover, i dont intend to market RO any soon and also i did suggest Aquaphor Crystal Eco water filter (not RO system) it is using CARBON BLOCK similar to Espring. Carbon Block can reduce HEAVY METALS, Rust, odor, chlorine and etc (not 100% remove but reduce)

However, there are some customers who are very health conscious and do not wish to have certain chemical in the water such as aluminum suggested by Optiplex330 then you need RO to filter it as per the link given by Optiplex330. Previously i have a customer looking for RO because he doesnt wan to have fluoride in his drinking water and the only way is RO.

As per my labtest report with Aquaphor Crystal Eco, the Aluminium content in our water supply (tested with malaysia water) is 0.07mg/l while the recommended standard is 0.2mg/l. So, we actually do not need RO system, unless you dont even wan the 0.07mg/l then u need RO system.

Thanks for sharing the useful news about cuckoo and appreciate your discussion smile.gif

Agree, normal granular carbon is not effective and a good quality carbon block can only reduce but not fully remove heavy metal in water.

To effectively remove them, you need RO.

I have to emphasize again, i m not supporting RO and i do think RO is not necessary unless you wish to effectively remove certain type of contaminants.

Yes, most RO system waste a lot water, waste space and some even need power consumption.

However, the Aquaphor DWM 101 that i m using is different compared to regular RO filters.
- Still got water wastage for drainage but lesser compared to regular RO.
- Space Saving
- No electricity required.

Regarding remineralize and other info can check their website
http://www.aquaphor.eu/Morion-DWM101-rever...e-for-your-home

There are pros and cons for RO system, after using for one year i still think the cons outweigh the pros, thatz y i didnt plan to market it yet.

Gonna install a water dispenser couple together with my existing Aquaphor Filter soon smile.gif Existing customers who are using Aquaphor can just add the dispenser soon at a very low price smile.gif
