Unfortunately VW do not have new batch of cars. They are still trying to clear their 2014 stocks. We are already pushing 2016

QUOTE(Winter@7 @ Jul 26 2015, 10:51 PM) I called up the vendor but you won't like the price. This thing is useful for mirroring Waze or Google map onto your M3 screen and that's about it. For a price of RM2xxx I think I'll stick to using my smartphone on a car holder. Playing videos on the screen is distracting to the driver and not advisable. |

QUOTE(nicholas86 @ Jul 27 2015, 08:27 PM) Found alot of wireless mirror link box at lelong.com I think they have to be very specific to the car model and they need a skilled installer. JDM Teknik said the dashboard need to be partially dismantled to reach the screen to plug in the interface. On the positive side no wires need to be cut so it will not void your warranty. If the price is RM1xxx can consider but RM2xxx is too high.Just not sure they work with Mazda or not. Maybe will go to accessories shop and ask around when i get my car. On another note has anybody installed a high end alarm for their M3? I tried triggering the OEM alarm and the sound using the horn is quite pathetic. I don't feel safe without a 2 way alarm which informs the remote when the alarm is triggered This post has been edited by kluseng: Jul 27 2015, 09:05 PM |

QUOTE(kluseng @ Jul 27 2015, 11:16 PM) It will only void the electrical warranty. But it's better to lose part of the warranty than lose the car. I really don't recommend this. The Mazda 3 uses a CAN BUS system where any wires cut may affect the integrity of the whole system. Not allowing wires to be cut is not an arbitrary Bermaz requirement but necessary for the proper functioning of the system. |

QUOTE(berann @ Jul 24 2015, 01:16 PM) Any new M3 owner here upgrade from B segments 1.5 car? How is the performance? much better or just slighter better? I remember one of the M3 owner here commented that he lost in drag race vs Vios. Upgrade from Proton Persona to M3, M3 way too power, shouldn't be comparing to B segment car.But it sound impossible 162hp vs 109hp. M3 was claimed to be more powerful than D segment car. Drag race?! Win a drag race is nothing, even a Viva can win our M3 on pick up. I tested my M3, even a Camry also gave up chasing me on highway. Vios? when over 110km/h, totally can't chase our M3, not to mention our M3 can go until 200km/h, Vios max I think 180 km/h. Even last time my Persona also can beat Vios. Unless that Vios mod his engine more than 180 horse power, then that is not fair. |

Anyone going from another 2litre to M3.
I'm thinking to change from a previous generation Ford Focus to the Mazda3 and part of me feels that the power and pickup is slower and that interior space (especially back seat) is smaller - but fuel efficiency and safety spec is a lot better of course. |

QUOTE(peter_pj @ Jul 28 2015, 04:11 PM) Anyone going from another 2litre to M3. Power and pickup isn't everything. Your ownership experience will include reliability, after sales service, spare parts availability, cost of maintenance, fuel efficiency and ultimately resale value. In all these the Mazda 3 comes out ahead of a Ford Focus. The distributor for Ford (SDAC) is well known for refusing to stock spare parts which entail a wait of 2 months for parts. The present generation Focus is also known to have the problem of juddering and grinding gearbox which is unsolvable up till now. I'm thinking to change from a previous generation Ford Focus to the Mazda3 and part of me feels that the power and pickup is slower and that interior space (especially back seat) is smaller - but fuel efficiency and safety spec is a lot better of course. In short you won't go wrong choosing a Mazda 3 over a Ford. |

I know that this is a Mazda3 club but I'm not comparing a current Mazda3 with a current Ford Focus MK3 - in this comparison, I agree that a Mazda3 is the winner for most of the areas.
The Focus MK3 is not far behind though as SDAC only needs to work on their after sales service (I find them rude) and they would be fine. Contrary to popular belief and "my friend say" theories, throughout my ownership of my current MK2 Focus, I have no problems in reliability (no breakdowns, ever), parts (other than typical maintenance, nothing else has spoilt), cost of maintenance (I service outside since out of warranty, price is normal as well). If you look at resale values of the previous generation Focus and 3, both have similar depreciation levels (remember to take into consideration that the previous Mazda 3 2.0 was always priced higher then the previous Focus) Anyway, I'm thinking of changing from the older MK2 Focus to the current Mazda3. Reason for the change is ONLY because of the safety pack in the M3 high spec sedan vs the lack of it in C-segment cars at the time I bought the Focus. Oh, and importantly also because the M3 scores very high on NCAP and IIHS tests (as good as a Volvo but with cheaper maintenance, yay) - No other C-segment car comes this close. The only drawback to me from the change is the smaller rear seat (which I don't really care as only 2 of us generally) and I feel that the pick-up is slower during test drives (on paper is faster, but the butt disagrees). Might be the gearing I think as its tuned for efficiency. I saw that foreign cars have a "Sport" switch, is this something that can be added on? |

But if u r looking into resale, ntg beat H&T This post has been edited by derravile: Jul 28 2015, 05:29 PM |
