Do Mazda car (3 or 2) have the tyre pressure monitor/sensor? Like one of the tyre having less air (eg: puncture, etc) than the others will give some kind of warning?

Thanks

most likely it doesn't void warranty coz it will be fixed at Mazda service center, not outside shop.
*
better be sure of tht, it might not be the case, did inquire from some Mazda SC, they do provide front sensor installation, however, it voids warranty

not sure does it applies to the whole car or not, all we know is anything involves in cutting or modding or wirings, it will void warranty

QUOTE(kluseng @ Jul 13 2015, 09:50 PM)
This is my impression of my Mazda 3 GL spec after 3 days.

Gear change is very smooth, gas pedal is designed for economy driving, have to press harder to get the 'oomph'. I'm getting 7.5 l/100km for mixed driving including some spirited driving. This is good FC.

Cabin is quiet on reasonable roads. No wind noise at 120 km/h. On rough roads road noise intrudes significantly. No odd noises from dashboard or other body parts. No keok-keok sound when going over bumps so far.

Sound quality from FM radio is acceptable but not great. Music from USB and bluetooth sounds better. The average listener should have no complaint but I'm particular on audio so I may upgrade the speakers in future.

No confirmation sound when locking/unlocking car and no brake autolock. These should be able to install aftermarket.

Overall very satisfied with this car but there's still the nagging feeling I should have gone for high spec. Too late now!
*
congratz, 7.5l/100km is great FC, for my 15 months old car, only manage to get 8-9l/100km with 50-50 urban & outstation driving.

Suprise yrs doesnt have wind noise, most of us above 100kmh do experience loud wind noise

QUOTE(GrumpyCat @ Jul 14 2015, 11:14 AM)
Anybody knows any links to mazda 3 skyactiv accessories, body kits. And also is it possible to change the halogen headlamps on the low spec m3 to the bi-xenon ones?

Any new M3 owner here upgrade from B segments 1.5 car? How is the performance? much better or just slighter better? I remember one of the M3 owner here commented that he lost in drag race vs Vios.  hmm.gif

But it sound impossible 162hp vs 109hp.
*
from city 05 to m3, couldn't compare at any level & aspect (maybe, only FC)
most vios than can outrun m3 out there are really daring or heavy mod, i do met once a heavy mod vios, which i lost to him a drag race too

QUOTE(peter_pj @ Jul 28 2015, 05:13 PM)
I know that this is a Mazda3 club but I'm not comparing a current Mazda3 with a current Ford Focus MK3 - in this comparison, I agree that a Mazda3 is the winner for most of the areas.

The Focus MK3 is not far behind though as SDAC only needs to work on their after sales service (I find them rude) and they would be fine.

Contrary to popular belief and "my friend say" theories, throughout my ownership of my current MK2 Focus, I have no problems in reliability (no breakdowns, ever), parts (other than typical maintenance, nothing else has spoilt), cost of maintenance (I service outside since out of warranty, price is normal as well).

If you look at resale values of the previous generation Focus and 3, both have similar depreciation levels (remember to take into consideration that the previous Mazda 3 2.0 was always priced higher then the previous Focus)

Anyway, I'm thinking of changing from the older MK2 Focus to the current Mazda3. Reason for the change is ONLY because of the safety pack in the M3 high spec sedan vs the lack of it in C-segment cars at the time I bought the Focus. Oh, and importantly also because the M3 scores very high on NCAP and IIHS tests (as good as a Volvo but with cheaper maintenance, yay) - No other C-segment car comes this close.

The only drawback to me from the change is the smaller rear seat (which I don't really care as only 2 of us generally) and I feel that the pick-up is slower during test drives (on paper is faster, but the butt disagrees).

Might be the gearing I think as its tuned for efficiency. I saw that foreign cars have a "Sport" switch, is this something that can be added on?
*
yes, manually with ur fingers

i think with the recent kodo design, it seems mazda has done a great job this time, resale value has a higher chance of better value. But if u r looking into resale, ntg beat H&T

Right, paddle shifters!

Why did I forget about those....Must be the sales people though, they don't really explain their cars very well and I had to insist for a longer test route instead of a short circle - from a sales perspective, Mazda has to improve this

And although the PJ 222 showroom already looks quite dated compared to other brands, a simple thing they really could start with to improve it is by turning on the lights - it looks so gloomy and depressing inside.

Anyhow, not bothered about resale values but more interested in drivers car and the safety pack. I regularly will take myself off the highway to enjoy the B roads.

Thanks guys, have ordered and will be delivering very soon. Perhaps after a couple of months will do a comparo for others benefit.
*
reminder, iirc, low spec no paddle shifters

There is also a manual shifting option at the gear lever. But in general manual shifting for an auto car is not very useful as the auto gear tend to override your choice after a short while.
*
yes, i knew that, i've been driving the car for 1 year+....... sweat.gif sweat.gif
also u r wrg, if u push ur gear level to the side, its permanent manual shifting, it only downshifts it reach below certain speed.....u need put back into auto to park

The coating is a very thin layer only. Whether they claim 7H or 9H I don't think it will protect against stone chips at all. However it does make the car look nice and save you having to wax often.
*
u r right, reason i don't do coating also because it doesn't protect from stone chips, minor scratches, yea
the other reason is to protect your paint job, if your car paint under sun exposure for too long, a few years down the line, your color may fade, thts why coating comes into play

QUOTE(bruce07 @ Aug 3 2015, 11:39 AM)
hi guys, new owner here (Mazda 3 - CKD -White). saw some post about coatings, was wondering how effective are these coatings since there are so many brands out there and some are really expensive.

additional to that, anyone knows where to get a spoiler for the boot with paint and installation around PJ?
*
if u r looking for stone chip protection, go for clear wrap eg: oraguard clear wrap. Price is quite expensive though
check my thread for Groupbuys for the mazda3, however i don't provide installation, only guidance

Original metallic car paint should not fade. At least I've not experienced any fading for my cars even after 8 years. But not sure about red as red is a colour which is very susceptible to fade under the sun.

The wrap is more expensive than the paintwork you are protecting! It will also not protect against serious stone chips. How long the wrap will last without lifting and bubbling is also a question mark.
*
i say might fade.....so far mine have not fade too

yea the wrap is expensive....depends how srs u mean srs....it can protect from normal highway stonechips.
Good quality wrap n workmanship is important

well just another option for ppl out there icon_rolleyes.gif
