I am fine with the i-stop function, this is the special of Mazda 3 Skyactiv. Whether it good or not good to the engine, not me to judge because I am not the technician or designer of this Skyactiv engine, below link is for you to understand more about skyactiv i-stop.

when you said Skytint - Means their Inhouse brand right ? From GS Accessories I think . With that price 1.4k , best you get other brand better .

I usually dont trust Inhouse Item + Free item .

Any new M3 owner here upgrade from B segments 1.5 car? How is the performance? much better or just slighter better? I remember one of the M3 owner here commented that he lost in drag race vs Vios.

But it sound impossible 162hp vs 109hp.

For me, i have same opinion with you. I don't like the aircond turn hot, and very dislike the feel when it start back from i-stop and the car is jerking like hell. I-stop should design more quiet and more natural when the engine back to start. As i know, other car with i-stop have 2 seperate battery. This is only my viewpoint la. I know some like and some dislike.

I upgraded from 2009 Vios to this M3..

Really cannot compare as M3 is a total different level car

from city 05 to m3, couldn't compare at any level & aspect (maybe, only FC)
most vios than can outrun m3 out there are really daring or heavy mod, i do met once a heavy mod vios, which i lost to him a drag race too

May be a mivec 2.0 turbo engine in that Vios ..

if u looking for drag race, 1.5 myvi can beat us

If all goes well, I'll be upgrading from a 2007 Swift to an M3. Floor it during the test drive and it was considerably faster (using but dyno).

Drag race is bad for the gearbox lah, trust me i know .

I come from a slightly modded Inspira 1.8 Manual, with sports extractor, decat, KKN intake, and stage 1 ECU tuning.

Overall, the m3 is faster all the way until around 160kph. At 80-140kph is this car's sweet spot, it can beat much higher hp cars in this range. Try full throttle in this range and you will know , it's a skyactiv thing .

As for the guy that lost to the Vios, he probably didn't full throttle the car or he's a terrible driver. This car is tuned for FC, you need to full throttle or the TCU will shift gear too early then you confirm kena tapau.

Hopefully we'll be able to get tuning for this car soon. In the US they are able to get 185 horses just by tuning alone.

My previous dealer told me ETA end of July. But last week said most probably mid of Aug. Can I book with another dealer and compare which can deliver faster? Can get back my deposit? Any SA kindly advice

Surely you can book with other dealers to see who deliver faster. Loan can transfer.

However, bookings can be refunded pending terms & conditions.

Finally managed to pull the car out for some long distance driving during Hari Raya.

Shah Alam - Kajang - Selayang - Shah Alam - Seremban - Masjid Tanah (Melaka) via the B-Roads - Seremban - Shah Alam - Kota Damansara.

Covered 588KM on a single tank, with the range counter left at 6KM before refill. When refilling, only managed to jam in only 43L of Ron 95.

Very impressive compared to my previous ride (mildly modified Satria Neo Campro manual, with exhaust system + air filter + adjusted cam pulleys + lightened crankpulley + polished TB) that manage to clock around 400KM on a 40L tank of Ron 95.

And better compared to my wife's bone stock Fiesta Sedan 1.6, that clocks around 420KM on a 40L tank of Ron 95.

I have to say the general belief that big CC cars = higher fuel consumption does not apply to the SkyActiv Mazda.

Been looking for window tint while waiting for my m3.

Anyone knows if the OEM Front windshield has an existing tint? What's the existing VLT?

Wondering if I get tint with 70% VLT, might still not pass JPJ roadblock.

Me upgraded from 1.6L persona to this m3, the power difference is so huge, the torque n power delivery of this beast is just so smooth...

But if u say drag race like 0-60kmph versus vios, I do think m3 gonna lose,since heavier body compared to vios.. But I don't think acceleration after 80kmph, vios can outrun our m3.. hehe
