thanks again for all your input ... ur all no kedekut knowledge .. thank you a lot ... im a newbie buying cars, currently driving family owned car , now only start to get a better car ..

ya i checked , i think ill prefer to go M3 sedan .. only thing is .. the aperture of the boot is kinda small... i ride a road bike .. so im not sure whether can fit in or not ..

went again today and they say the 2016 model will come tomorrow ... only thing left is test drive and the rear seat ...

ya ur right too ... Mazda give free service not a single cent i have to fork out ... by the time no more free service .. ill think ill drive for awhile then change to new model again .. I prefer car with many technologies ...

Mazda 3 is really great, at the price , got so many i-activesense gadgets, mazda 6 high spec baru dapat those stuff ...

wanna ask, does M3 sedan CKD has daytime running light at the rear too ? i see those M3 on the road, got DRL at the front , but none at the rear ... or they choose to switch it off ?

actually i hardly can find any M3 on the road ... when i see also CX5 or M6 ... HRV , Civic , city is all over the place ... is that a good thing ah ? haha

My road bike can fit in the boot just fine, just fold the back seat.

The reason DRL is fitted in front (as most of the German / New Cars on the road) is mainly for safety reasons. It is a part of European regulations where with Day Time Running lights, other pedestrian/ driver able to see us (vs Without DRL). This is why Front is only fitted with DRL but not rear. (This is why motorcylces are require to switch on their light even its daytime).
It is a part of safety reason, but car manufacturer improvise their DRL to turn them into better looking designs instead of plain boring long stripe of LED's.

Also the reason why you see most M3 Sedan CKD rear light is on is mainly due to Auto Headlamp vs CBU which is manual.

End of the day, it base on how you judge the vehicle. Go for what your instinct tell you. M3 boot is smaller if were to compare with Altis & Civic.

That's what I thought. Just get some generic one first and ask Mazda to pay for the inconvenienceĀ  laugh.gif

Is the M3's spare tyre full sized or space saver? I borrowed my Vios to my father's friend who blew it and he put in the spare. I didn't know and drove around 140km/h as per usual speed from klang to subang. It burst on the fast lane and the car was just jerking wildly left and right and veering hard to the left which is where the metal dividers are. Good thing not a lot of car behind me and I managed to steer it all the way to the left in the midst of all the shock although throughout the entire ordeal I knew I had to be calm and grasp the steering tightly. The most kelian one is my colleague who decidedly to follow me to work that day hahaha! Tyres were smoking and flat all the way to the rim, it was shredded into pieces. Within 20 mins a kind man in a black Vios stopped to help me but he also dunno what to do sweat.gif Good thing right at the moment road assistance came to help and I thanked the man curtly and attended to the few men who came to help me. There were 3 of them so they changed my tyre really quick and I didn't know what was the going rate so I just gave them RM50 to divide amongst themselves. After I had the time to calm down, I regret not asking the man for his name card or something because he was truly very nice and tried to help eventhough he didnt know what to do and I wanted to thank him more sincerely. I only remember his car number started with WVD XXXX. I will always remember his kindness in my hour of fear and confusion. Went to work and got scolded because I hold the key to my workplace mad.gif

My point is. You cannot drive long distance with spare doh.gif Asking me to drive at 80-90km/h is just horrible for impatient person like me. Although now with a nicer car, I might just cruise at 50km/h...

Wa....you better thank God banyak banyak...a car without ESP/VSC with a blowout at 140km/h and your car didn't spin out of control, really got some "power" helping you. Even cars with ESP/VSC with a blowout at such speed will still have a brief moment of loss of control before the computer takes hold of the situation.

Your spare blowout most likely due to very old tyre (who changes their spares when they change their normal sets anyway?). The materials will deteriorate after time. So a rule of thumb is to never buy tyres that are >2years old even when they are new.

You bring your bicycle over and "test fit" it into the boot. No need to feel shy about it as you're spending a large sum of money and don't want situation where it cannot meet your requirements.

Up to you la...whether you feel comfortable "standing out" on the road with a quite rare model. As a comparison, my workplace has over 2000 employees and the housing estate i'm staying (around 300+ houses), but i'm proud to say only me driving the Mazda3 and the blue colour icon_rolleyes.gif

WOW you guys share alots .. haha

Oh ya, the spare for the M3 is space saver, not full size.
So please don't high speed with it. Or should I say, please don't high speed on any type of spare tyre, as I would say most of the tyre pressure will be not enough.

my ride = CKD GL M3 Meteor Grey.
Except I got some issue on my suspension / tyre / bearing which I'm still dealing with service center now, others will be good.

I not sure 2016 model got any diff, if not and you're capable of getting a HS , go for it.

Silver vs Grey. I feel silver colour should be more easier to take care than meteor grey, but for me grey look classy more.

I believe all space saver spares come with a warning to not drive above a certain speed (80km/h I think?).

Plus, good habit to check your spare's tyre pressure every month.

As I understand spares have a different make up in order to last longer in storage and as such it is not advisable to drive long distance faster than 80km/h. Spares are only meant to be replaced with full sized tyres as soon as possible.

I have to admit I do think I have been very lucky on numerous occasions but I always tell myself I only need one unlucky moment for my life to be over, so be careful everyone, need to collect CNY ang pao liao rclxms.gif

Good thing that the standard kit that comes with the Mazda3 has an electric air pump. Just that the indicator not that accurate, so have to agak agak when pumping. Best to use an tyre pressure gauge.

Eh, I thought vios comes with a full sized spare tyre instead of a space saver spare tyre?

No idea, the guy who used my car previously replaced it with the spare I had and replaced the spare tyre. Maybe because the spare has been unused for some time so it blew? Anyhow, won't be lending my new car to anyone soon!

I am a new M3 GL owner for 1 week already
The problem now I facing when I just got my car
a) Rear brake light internal crack
b) Rattling sound at driver door side and back
c) Leather seat defect, you can see they looks like just want to finish work and din assemble the seat properly, still can see aperture in between the back support and bud support (car come with leather seat).
d) Fuel meter inaccurate after I off the I-stop (Fuel meter wont drop at all eventhough i had drove for 200km)

Anyone has these problems ?
How long would it take to replace my rear brake lamp ?

A parking curb is usually a low wall about 6" high. How did you get a big dent on the passenger door and bonnet from a parking curb?

If your car is soul red only Mazda SC can spray back the same colour. It may cost you a bomb though.

You planning to buy from your mother? Whatever happened to love and affection, LOL!

I don't think a used Mazda 3 has any more problems than a Honda or Toyota. Try to nego a good price from your mom. laugh.gif

a) SC will take a photo of your lamp and proceed with claim, I think within 1 month can be settled.
b) Very grey area
c) Can go complain, they will do for you on the spot if not mistaken. Few owner kena also, on their car seat.
d) This I'm not that sure man, cause I think it's count digitally.

One of the reason I buy M3 is because this unit that you mentioned got less issue. And is your mum's car, you got all the chances to inspect and check on the car condition.

Get a good price from your mum tongue.gif
