QUOTE(Aizat2402 @ Nov 7 2015, 04:55 PM) Just booked Mazda 3 HS and got some rebate!!! (Rebate RM 750 only I hv a question guys. On the test drive unit the fc reading is 25.5l/100km which is insane. Will it improve gradually after driving for some distance or they will refresh before delivering our new car?Wonder why they so hard to give rebate. Hmmm |

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Nov 7 2015, 08:43 PM) That's the instantaneous FC. It depends on how hard you press the gas. In my case I've seen it go to 40L/100km. But the average FC is the one you should be concerned about. I've getting less than 6L/100km average despite seeing high instantaeous FC when I pickup. The info button on the steering wheel toggle between instant FC, average FC and range. Is it the same as current fc? Cause the SA did explain to me one is current fc that depends on how hard we hit the gas. The figures change all the time. But the other one is average fc which is the 6L/100km, but it is showing 25.5L/100km. Now im confused |

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Nov 20 2015, 07:08 PM) Congratulations, welcome to the club Thanks bro. Oo i havent checked the tyre pressure, will do that later today. But so far my ride feels okay. Remember to go to petrol station and check the tyre pressure after collecting the car, SC may overfill or neglect to fill to proper pressure. Just fill anywhere in between 260kpa to 280kpa (if you carry full load constantly, go up to 300-320kpa). Mine came with filled to the MAXIMUM recommended pressure and heck, freaking bumpy Btw, no boot tray?? Anyone can share any idea where can i buy one. |

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Nov 23 2015, 02:35 PM) Wrapping your entire car is very expensive and more than the cost of a good quality respray. How long the wrapping will last is another matter. Some companies only guarantee against lifting and bubbling for 1 year which is very short for the price they charge. Thanks for the input. I want to protect the car from minor scratches at the usual spot like the door handle area, front bumper, etc. Does coating really do the job?In my opinion the cost of the car we are driving doesn't justify wrapping. I don't find the quality of the original paintwork (CKD) to be exceptionally good to be protected to that extent. |

QUOTE(KevC1018 @ Dec 3 2015, 04:14 PM) Hi All, The best i hv ever achieved is 8.1L/100km, and that's 50% highway drive. Full tank can go 610km. Now it doesnt seem like its going down anymore. I drove like 90kmh on highway with autocruise for so long it doesnt want to go down anymore. How can you all get <7L/100km......Wanna share the experience with all the proud owners and soon to be owners of Mazda 3 Skyactive 2.0. I've been driving my M3 CKD for 5 months plus since June 2015. and my total km now is 29,870km. Really enjoyed my ride and I bet all the m3 owners as well. *You know what I'm saying* Here are the fuel consumption experience I've been tracking so far. City Drive : 6.9 ltr / 100km @ 40kph ~ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @ RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 500km ~ 520km City Drive : 6.5 ltr / 100km @ 40kph ~ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 97 @ RM75 ~ RM80 | approx 530km ~ 550km Highway : 4.7 ltr / 100km @ 90kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 750km Highway : 5.4 ltr / 100km @ 110kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 660km Highway : 5.8 ltr / 100km @ 120kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 610km Highway : 7.2 ltr / 100km @ 150kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 490km Highway : 8.6 ltr / 100km @ 180kph | approx 35 ltr Ron 95 @RM65 ~ RM70 | approx 420km From the data i've monitored for the pass 6 months, it was very fuel saving compare to my previous car. In performance wise, the car really boost up (CBU's i-eloop is better than CKD) and stable (speed up to 210kph - KL to Kuantan). Braking system is awesome, the SCSB triggered when I almost went through the Smart Tag Boomgate. The rearview sensor helps a bit but not all of it. You will still have blindspot (Almost bang into a car on my right which i didnt notice, unless i turn my head looking to the right). Overall, it's a fuel saving, comfy, safety, sporty and performance ride. Have all the features you need for that price. Hope all the M3 owners there feel the same. |

QUOTE(Chinoz @ Dec 10 2015, 09:20 AM) I pumped in 44 litres to full, at that time the avg fc reading was 9.3l/100km, and the range right after the fill up was 702km. And then the next fill up i pumped in full tank again, this time 45 litres, the avg fc reading then was 8.2l/100km. And the range shown was 644km. Shouldnt it be more on the second time since the avg fc has dropped compared to the previous one? At both times I had full tank. |

QUOTE(KevC1018 @ Dec 11 2015, 02:25 PM) You have to look into overall bro. It's best if you check your MZD fuel consumption data analyze. Look at the picture which I've took. The avg FC is hard for you to judge. Wth only rm67 to get kl penang roundtrip. Thats impressive man. My previous car drank rm60 worth of petrol just to get to penang from kl. Basically, you need to know how you want to control your speed on the highway. Well, basically in city, you can hardly control due to the jam. Your speed have to be constant in order m3 system to show you the accurate display. If you 10 mins step 90 kph then the next 110 kph, then next 50kph, and so on, how can m3 system show you an accurate display, if you get what i mean. It's best if you observe the current FC instead of the average. For my guess, m3 system will take 90kph + 110 kph + 50kph + so on / the time running = average FC. So far, if at constant speed, yes, i find it 80% accurate. The other 20% base on approximity / roughly (example, m3 shows 780km and u can roughly estimate 750km @ 90kph.) Here are the pictures of the km I've been travelling from Damansara to Penang with just 1 fuel tank. ![]() Above is the full tank before i travel to Penang. Notice that is already running 24.1km. ![]() Above is the M3 system on economy Fuel consumption menu. Driving on 90 kph @ 4.6 ltr/ 100km ![]() Above driving on 90kph after more than an hour @ 4.5 ltr/ 100km ![]() Above driving on 110kph going back to Damansara. ![]() Above driving on 110kph reaching Damansara. ![]() Above is the total km which i m about to refill ![]() Above refilled. The km updated shows 797km which I'm able to drive at 110kph constantly. ![]() Above is the price I've pump. 34.41 liter @ RM67.10 - RM1.95 per liter Note that M3 is a 51 liter car. That gives me remaining of 16.59 liter. Hope this give an overall that m3 is a fuel saving car depends on the speed you are going. Above is 90kph and 110kph day trip. Well, enjoy your ride with M3 guys. =) Thanks for the detailed explanation. Really appreciate it. I guess i just need to have more patience on the road. Sometimes my leg fell itchy i drove 190kph hehehe. |

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Dec 15 2015, 09:38 AM) Service centre told me to change strut bearing (instead of lower arm bush) as this service bulletin has been announced for Mazda 3, CX5 and (if i didn't hear wrongly what the advisor said) the Mazda 6. For me, they just tell me to fix a date. So i presume they have all the parts they need. I'm on JB side though. Have you got yours replaced yet? Do you still hear that annoying sound after change? Recently the sound is becoming more noticeable every time after rain. Feels like inside an old saga cab. |

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Dec 15 2015, 11:57 AM) I scheduled mine to get it done on new year day as they don't accept such non scheduled works on weekends and I don't have leave other than that day. I'll drop a note here when it's done. When did you set your appointment? I just spoke to SC officer from Glenmarie, I hv to drive to Glenmarie first for inspection and she said if really lower arm bush need to wait at least 4 months cause that part is shipped from Japan, and apparently Japan is having issue with the production of that particular part too. If you look at the past postings, there were some people that reported some got their bushes changed and it fixed their problem; some just reported that tightening the nuts and bolts solved them; others say the service centre put the bump stop and it settled theirs; mine say change strut bearing. So as of to date got 4 methods in dealing with the noisy suspension But definitely not a good impression on the CKD Mazda 3 here despite it really is a good drive. On the side note, my mum's CBU batch W205 C Class came with a weird fuel injection noise not too long after driving it out from the showroom. So even la...because even premium brand also suffer some problems in the early days |

QUOTE(danieloo @ Dec 15 2015, 05:07 PM) Raining day on last Sunday, my car suddenly have "ngek ngek" sound from suspension when passing thru bumps. But after dry, no more sound. If this is relate to those issue you guys discussed? Yes bro. The freaking annoying sound is gonna come out when your absorber is wet, after rain i mean. The "kruk kruk" sound when going bumps has been solved since first 1k km service. Now this "ngek ngek" is another fault...haih. |

Just an update guys. Those who experience the squeaking absorber when driving after rain can head to Mazda Glenmarie. I was asked to come just for inspection before they can put me on waiting list but then they said they changed the lower arm bush d. Looks like the have some more stocks? *Initially they said need to wait few months for stocks from Japan*.
Also they put stopper to remove the knock knock sound. Im a happy M3 owner now |

I am curious. The free parts and labour service is up to 60k km.
1st service done 1000km 2nd service scheduled at 11000km So it goes on up to 51000km. So according to the tnc it is up to 60k km which means our last free service would be the one at 51k km? Or can i go for next service before it hits 60k km even though the next one is scheduled at 61k km? |

QUOTE(toonny @ Jan 2 2016, 06:16 PM) Hi bro, thanks for the great info. So you mean they replaced it for you already? How long you waited for the parts replacement? Yup they did. I called them to set for appointment around 20+ Dec and they asked me to come on 2nd January for initial inspection. According to the officer she said i should be getting the replacement in 3-6 months time but when I went there on 2nd Jan they said theyre gonna replace it right away. So they must hv some stocks available i guess. |
