QUOTE(Rick Federer @ Jun 30 2015, 10:53 AM) Hi MaZians, can anyone confirm which tinting does affect the reception quality of in-built Tom Tom satellite receiver? go with 3M crystalline if you want good heat rejection. my old car installed with crystalline and do not have any reception issue with different smartphones brands and even standalone garmin gps. Around RM1.8k can get you full 3M Crystalline. I read somewhere that these brands not suitable: V-Kool $1800 3M $2200 Huper $2700 I am very keen to install 3M when I get my ride, but worry that GPS will become inefficient. |

QUOTE(jjaacckk2000 @ Aug 30 2015, 02:51 PM) Hi guys, for me i turn off the Istop whenever there is heavy traffic or requires constant stopping. i feel its abit anyoying at sometime. I just recently got my white M3 high spec, after a whole weekend of drive of > 250km, I am very very happy with the car, it tick every expectation I have. for the Istop, is it worth while to off it ? I didn't mind the "engine start/stop" in the middle of the road, as I was expecting it to be a hybrid car behavior, but does this feature shorten the life span of engine or something ? I did not feel the departure warning (or something), it is a signal somewhere on the dashboard ? or there is a sound ? maybe I open my music too loud ? anyway, glad to join the club for lane depature, there is two alert you can set. by default its "rumble" where you will hear a road kind of noise, but its abit soft. just change it to "beep" and high volume. and you are good to go. enjoy your ride. :-) |

QUOTE(toonny @ Sep 29 2015, 04:25 PM) Hi all M3 owners, would like to know is it the NVH is that poor? Most of the reviews for M3 sure mentions the NVH / road noise / wind noise is not at par for its class.. hi.. upgrading your ride? well previously im driving 1st batch without IAFM persona with mileage clocked 210k++ and now im driving the M3 High spec. I am driving a persona at the moment. Any persona owners upgraded to M3 enlighten me pls? Thanks alot... * I did a test drive at Puchong branch. Too bad they just doesn't allow me to go highway to test it. NVH: (Tire Noise) - Persona>M3 Comfort (Bumps) - Persona > M3 Wind Noise - M3> Persona Engine NVH/Refinement - M3 anytime High Speed Stability 140-160km - M3 > Persona Body Control - Persona > M3 Seat Comfort - M3 anytime (KL-Penang recently) Fuel Consumption - M3 (Averages 5.5L/100km) Overall: If you are more towards comfort and wants a balance handling, I would strongly advise take the M3 GL spec as the tire profile is 65 series definately will be better in-terms of road noise and NVH. However, if your want advance specs like i-active sense and slightly better handling, take the M3 High-spec but the ride will be noiser and stiffer due to the 45 series and 18-inch rims. Bear in mind, Bermaz do offer free leather seat upgrade for the time being. so its a good bargain. unless you want full spec with everything on board. :-) anything can just pm me. You may ask me more about this both cars. as im still keeping my persona. xD |

QUOTE(xrickx @ Oct 6 2015, 05:09 PM) Paid the down payment last Wednesday, collected my white M3 today just drive normally... avoid travelling long distance on same rpm. city drive is best to break in all the car parts. Perhaps, i even revved all the way to 5k rpm once got the car. Did you guys run in the car for the 1st 1000KM before high revving it? |

QUOTE(Anti-LB @ Dec 3 2015, 07:46 PM) Cool, thanks! I'll confirm with public bank.. this boils down to personal preference, some might say coating is a good start to protect your car in long run. Coating does not protect your paint from stone chips even with careful of driving. For me, i did not coat my car and what i do is, one monthly basis, I will wax my car and maintain it with quality spray wax and it is good to go. If few years later, the paint quality has detoriate, I can repaint the car and it will look great again. My friend say once I got my car, best is to do coating immediately to protect the car, but he do detailing one la so maybe just trying to sell me I was going to do coating but was gonna do it after my car looks less shiny like 1 year later Should I do now or later? What did you guys do to your car when you first got it? Also, my previous car paint finishing still held up & shinny from day to day harsh environment with just regular wax maintenance and polishing. But most importantly is to invest in premium tinting like 3M, Llumar, VKool to prevent UV Sun damage to the interior for many years to come. Just my POV. QUOTE(Aizat2402 @ Dec 6 2015, 01:34 AM) The best i hv ever achieved is 8.1L/100km, and that's 50% highway drive. Full tank can go 610km. Now it doesnt seem like its going down anymore. I drove like 90kmh on highway with autocruise for so long it doesnt want to go down anymore. How can you all get <7L/100km...... on frequent basis, you need to reset the average fuel consumption trip calaculation to get the best reading. You can do this from the MZD FC apps. |

QUOTE(keropi88 @ Jan 19 2016, 10:08 PM) thanks again for all your input ... ur all no kedekut knowledge .. thank you a lot ... im a newbie buying cars, currently driving family owned car , now only start to get a better car .. The reason DRL is fitted in front (as most of the German / New Cars on the road) is mainly for safety reasons. It is a part of European regulations where with Day Time Running lights, other pedestrian/ driver able to see us (vs Without DRL). This is why Front is only fitted with DRL but not rear. (This is why motorcylces are require to switch on their light even its daytime).ya i checked , i think ill prefer to go M3 sedan .. only thing is .. the aperture of the boot is kinda small... i ride a road bike .. so im not sure whether can fit in or not .. went again today and they say the 2016 model will come tomorrow ... only thing left is test drive and the rear seat ... ya ur right too ... Mazda give free service not a single cent i have to fork out ... by the time no more free service .. ill think ill drive for awhile then change to new model again .. I prefer car with many technologies ... Mazda 3 is really great, at the price , got so many i-activesense gadgets, mazda 6 high spec baru dapat those stuff ... wanna ask, does M3 sedan CKD has daytime running light at the rear too ? i see those M3 on the road, got DRL at the front , but none at the rear ... or they choose to switch it off ? actually i hardly can find any M3 on the road ... when i see also CX5 or M6 ... HRV , Civic , city is all over the place ... is that a good thing ah ? haha It is a part of safety reason, but car manufacturer improvise their DRL to turn them into better looking designs instead of plain boring long stripe of LED's. Also the reason why you see most M3 Sedan CKD rear light is on is mainly due to Auto Headlamp vs CBU which is manual. End of the day, it base on how you judge the vehicle. Go for what your instinct tell you. M3 boot is smaller if were to compare with Altis & Civic. |
