So the only one that will lost my rebate is:

Actually for 5% CB on Petrol & Groceries, Ikhwan MC is better than VS on:

- Ikhwan MC got TP, VS don't have
- Ikhwan MC can get free holiday, VS don't have

- VS has higher CB capped compare to Ikhwan MC.

Ikhwan doesn't have TP for petrol.

Oh I see, coz it doesn't stat clearly on Petrol & Groceries no get TP like VS.

Actually for 5% CB on Petrol & Groceries, Ikhwan MC is better than VS on:

- Ikhwan MC got TP, VS don't have
- Ikhwan MC can get free holiday, VS don't have

- VS has higher CB capped compare to Ikhwan MC.

They won't be able to "profit" those money though. All these while they charge AMEX merchant 3% of their transaction. And from July, this figure will drop to 1%.  That 2% lost is astronomical! Imagine the value of AMEX transactions per day in Malaysia. How much is it worth? I am sure it is millions .

Giving back 5% and getting income from 3% .That is already a loss for them. (Only on weekends.)
However on normal days, they gain 3%. 

Try to take some initiative to check them bro. You will be learn more about each card too.

WTF is wrong with Maybank, I just got back home and found out from you guys that effective 1st August 2015, the once a upon a time wonderful Maybankard 2 Card AMEX 5% weekend cash back has been downgrade to DINING only!!!

Luckily I did not accept Harimau Bank's offer to be their Credit Card Specialist Head with designated Grade X1 back on 1st April 2015. Or else you guys may assumed that I have something to do with the downgraded benefits of Maybank's  credit cards. Well, 5% cash back for dining not that bad as most of us take our family out on weekends.

Anyway, those of us who have been holding Maybankard 2 AMEX since 2011, some of you would have earned more than RM2K cash back in the last 4 years 

i was approached by maybank credit card booth today.
when i asked what's the benefit, he told me can get 5% cash back on everything we spend on weekends. until now they are still promoting it, it'll be crazy if someone who just applied get to know that only dining will be getting 5% cashback.

Yes, the Maybankard 2 AMEX with 5% cash back for any type of transactions is still the best card to have even though Maybank inflated their Treats Points recently.

I get 5% cash back at Ippudo, Baskin Robbins and can even be used for 0% installment plan when buying a Rolex!
