Hi everyone. I want to port in to celcom from Hotlink. I ordered the SIM card from celcom online shop and got the SIM card, but I just realised my current number is under my brother’s name in Hotlink. What should I do?

Digi is trying to retent me by denying my port out to celcom. The reason given, I am not replying to sms confirmation which I replied earlier on. Got a call from the CS asking me why want to port out after many years with them, I told them nicely about their network performance and she offered me to reset the connection from their side and I denied that as I still wanted to switch out. Lastly, this morning received sms saying that my request rejected kononnya not replying the confirmation.

They tried the same thing on me saying I did not reply sms confirmation, just report them to MCMC

reporting to mcmc do works, as usual we have to wait for them to process but I can't afford to wait. Called direct to digi cust service and told them about how bad or poor their network are and I don't want to waste time and money staying with them anymore despite dozens of official reports made. 40 mins later my digi sim no service.

Please ensure to reply the SMS "properly"... and me agree that all telcos are "cunning" to prohibit us from MNP-o...

user posted image

As shown above, this is the SMS message from Celcom. In order to port out, we need to reply "PortOut YES 0123456789" if our mobile number is 0123456789...

Immediately after replied the SMS, we must get a response as shown below :

Alternatively, please call the future telco that their system has successfully received port-in request after we replied to the SMS...

Cannot reply "YES" or "Y" anymore...telcos have changed the trick to ensure port out request is failed...

Please open case to MCMC if we are not happy with this new "trick" by telcos...

What is the SMS from DiGi looks like....?

New tagline by telcos:
"If we cannot convince them, CONFUSE them. Put the blame on the Subscribers for replying to the SMS incorrectly"

I've encountered this 2 years ago when i wanted to port to yoodo. They'll call u, to ask u why u wanna port out. Like when u wanna terminate credit card, retain cust service will call u.
After that answer the call from Digi. Only u can port out but it's a hassle bcos have to ask your new telco to request again. Then repeat the mnp sms again..

Guys, I went to xox centre at Sunway Velocity to MNP my Xpax into XOX.

But upon stepping out from the centre, I receive 2 sms from Celcom.

No. 1

RM0 Maaf, kami tidak dapat meneruskan permintaan anda untuk bertukar ke telco lain kerana kami belum menerima pengesahan dari anda.

No. 2

Sila buat permohonan baru dengan menghubungi telco baru anda. Ikhlas, Team Celcom.

Judging from my understand from SMS 1, I didn't even any sms from Celcom asking whether I agree to port out to XOX and require me to reply YES or Y.

So I go to Celcom centre, which is just few shops away from XOX to clarify the situation with them. Celcom CS told me that they can't see my request in their system and ask me to go to XOX again to resubmit for the MNP.

Ok, since this is the 1st time happening to me, and the XOX centre is also nearby. So I just go back to XOX and ask the CS there to submit again.

But again I did receive the same SMS 1 & 2 from Celcom. Is this some sort of new trick that telco preventing users MNP to other telco???

I'm going to hesd back to Celcom centre again later, but different outlet this time and see what answer they are going to give me...

Btw, anyone else encounter such experience during MNP recently?
