Is it actually possible to port newly bought prepaid sim which you've just used for few days to new provider?
*
IT depends on the service provider if they have a cooling period or not.....cooling period means you have use it a minimum time before shifting it.
Check out with your network provider

I have same issue with Digi...this time they rejected because my prepaid number has low credit.. why would anyone in this world has to topup before switching to other service provide. what will happen to that credit which i topup. burn... stupid excuse from digi... i already made calls to center many times, escalated, i want to taruk kaw2.
*
for digi u must a minimum of RM0.01 to port out
crazy
that is why i stop using Digi.
Birthday bonus worse still, you must finish within 30 days minimum amount is RM 30 and above. What if i reload and i have a bonus of RM 150 and i don't call.
i lose the bonus within a month
My family was using digi when my bro deceided to change to XOX which i follow suite to change to XOX because of of us using data and the data was cheap
well my mom and dad also got mad.gif because of the birthday bonus they change to XOX from DiGi but then i migrated to Celcom

Hi, need a guide on porting.
My number now is a supplementary number under my dad's account with maxis. I want to port my number to celcom. What are the procedures? Thanks.
*
the procedure is very simple infact 3 ways:
1.Make yours as a mainline in maxis then straight away port to Celcom
2.convert it to Celcom prepaid then straight convert it to postpaid.
3.See if u can covert it to maxis prepaid or not if can then i suggest onvert to maxis prepaid then port to celcom as postpaid

MNP is one of the best things that can happen to the telco industry.......

If not i will wasting a lot of money and changing numbers frequently.

Digi---->celcom (postpaid)---->digi------>celcom---->xox------>maxis----->celcom----->celcom (postpaid)
If there is no MNP how much i spend already

another number from maxis
maxis--->celcom---->celcom (postpaid)

Thanks for the MNP

MNP is a great way for business man and people who have been keeping the number for a long time
they keep the prefix and the numbers example
012-3456789 from maxis and they switch provider to celcom/digi
they still keep the number including prefix.
my friend change his telco from maxis to digi yet 012 is still his prefix
i bought a 017 i think 1 year ago and now it is under celcom.
i bought 2 sim card which is 019 yet they are under maxis how come?
all it is because of MNP

I wait for 2 days and MAxis say they send the MNP request and umobile told me they not receiving it.
Now i feel like i dont wan to wait and keep the one month payment holding already and wish to cancel the MNP request from MAxis, is the MNP cancel can be done and get a fully refund ?
*
that you have to ask maxis and u mobile
i have no comment on that

usually if you go to the center they charge you for MNP it is because the cost of the SIM.....and not the cost of the MNP which is in the system......

can a postpaid line be converted to a prepaid line via this number portability?

for example,

from maxis one 98 to hotlink prepaid?
*
when you postpaid want to change to prepaid .....can be done but you must MNP to other telco and follow thier cooling period(can not port in/out within 30 days /1 month usually)......
then you can port out to the other telco usually
I will check which is the best prepaid plan and then straight change to the telco which i prefer

Not necessary. Have accompanied friends to change from Digi postpaid to prepaid, it can be done instantly without switching to other telco. Kindly go to your telco center to do, not those small small shops that can do MNP.
*
well i have been to Digi center where my friend change his celcom line to prepaid from postpaid which they say can not be done need to MNP to other telco and we went to the HQ

From celcom postpaid, change to celcom prepaid first, then port out. Save the hastle of changing to whatever telco and change again after 30 days.

check out which telco you want then do NP straight away easiest

hi plan to MNP digi to u mobile and you plan to keep the both (main and sub) numbers right?
no need to convert unless one of the numbers plan to be in Digi.only settle the outstanding bill
