digi playing dirty tricks to prevent people porting out, saying that i did not reply to confirmation sms when im sure i did.

Please ensure to reply the SMS "properly"... and me agree that all telcos are "cunning" to prohibit us from MNP-o...

As shown above, this is the SMS message from Celcom. In order to port out, we need to reply "PortOut YES 0123456789" if our mobile number is 0123456789...

Immediately after replied the SMS, we must get a response as shown below :

Alternatively, please call the future telco that their system has successfully received port-in request after we replied to the SMS...

Cannot reply "YES" or "Y" anymore...telcos have changed the trick to ensure port out request is failed...

Please open case to MCMC if we are not happy with this new "trick" by telcos...

What is the SMS from DiGi looks like....?

New tagline by telcos:
"If we cannot convince them, CONFUSE them. Put the blame on the Subscribers for replying to the SMS incorrectly"

my exp so far in trying mnp out from celcom postpaid to a few telcos/plan;
1. celcom xpax at blue cube : agent says cannot port direct have to port to other telcos first then port in to celcom xpax prepaid

2. hotlink pantas at maxis center : agent says cannot port to prepaid must port in to maxis postpaid first then after a month change to hotlink prepaid

3. umobile prepaid at umobile center : agent says cannot direct port in to prepaid need to port in to umobile postpaid then after a month change to prepaid

4. digi prepaid at digi authorised dealer shop : can no problem at all

question: is this valid for no 1-3? why digi okay jer?

AFAmK, last time no such requirements or "Cooling Period" imposed... nowadays, we know who is doing business honest-ly....

If they imposed such rules, just MNP-o to other PRE-paid plan 1st, and then, MNP-i back to the desired PRE-paid telco...

Usually, me MNP-o to Spaceship Orange PRE-paid 1st. After successfully ported, ensure got more 10 sen credit/balance. Within the same week, then only MNP-i to Axiata PRE-paid, or Maxis/Hotlink PRE-paid, or other PRE-paid plans. So, no need to go thru POST-paid and wait for one month bill cycle... But by doing this, the banking MSOS/TAC code might suffer...so, change the mobile MSOS/TAC code at any ATM 1st before MNP-o....
