Weather is HOT. Pollution level looks fairly low actually, especially from looking out the window, would be a bit more obvious during the day, but its not something I would complain during my walkabouts. Most of the pollution you'll see is mostly just from the highways or road dust, so somewhat like KL. Protests look to be fairly quiet too and parents whos been staying here hasn't mentioned bout it.

And whats this bout protests being in the culture? Its NOT a norm. Seriously, people.. open the eyes a bit. And for the last time... these protests will NOT harm your travel experience! Bar counting the take over of the airport tongue.gif

the paragon underworld is much better as compared to ours.
ours was so bad, they couldnt make money and they had to kill all the poor fishes.

if you are already near JJ market.. don't bother going over to Suan Lum unless you wanna have beer at their beer garden or watch Muay Thai.

i heard the underworld is really expensive. never been yet.

yeah suan lum is more expensive. but its open everynight. so if JJ is closed already then just go there. beer garden is cool. with some light entertainment with performers and bands every night. i like the place.

ok, let me say again...the exchange rates (MYR to THB) in Bangkok is actually quite good...lets look at the sources :

from Bangkok Bank
Currency Exchange Rate Date : 16 February 2009
Update : 2 Effective From : 8:45 [Unit : Baht per 1 unit of foreign currency]
MYR Malaysia: 10, 50, 100 8.98 (Buy) 9.99 (Sell)

from Kasikorn Bank
MYR Malaysian ringgit 9.37375 (Buy) - - - - 9.8925 (Sell)

means for RM10...we get around 98-99 baht

he means dun go suan lum because you can find everything at JJ wat. even illegal animals.

but if you wanna just go hang around there to eat and watch the concert i recommend suan lum. i prefer suan lum for shopping though. its a bit more expensive. but its not hot and also has less people.

Since those rates are from a Thai bank, should be looking at their "Buy" rates. RM10 should get only 93-94 baht.
Just went to the money changer in Taman Tun yesterday: RM10 for 94-95 baht. (rate was THB100: RM10.55)

i dont think u can finish JJ in the morning and have time for pratunam in the evening. you can put suan lum on the last day. u would have probably bought everything u needed already.

2nd advice. go to pratunam before platinum. its cheaper.

3rd. buy in bulk.

happy shopping.
