is Daikin A/C any good? cooling wise and parts wise. I am thinking of updating my York A/C.. tried Panasonic before.. its doesn't provide enough cooling compared to York.

Also on same topic, is it still good to buy York? or can skip the brand it altogether?

Any tips on this.?

Powerful cooling go for R32 Hitachi. The first gen R32 (not the latest one) i.e. the RAS-SX10CJ family, that one BTU/h higher.

I wonder if inverter outdoor unit can be exchanged between brands?
I have a 1.0HP York with outdoor unit broken, I'm thinking if I can use another Daikin 1.0HP inverter outdoor unit as temporary replacement.

but somehow, I went through the forum... I saw another post did mentioned inverter need to on up to 7-8 hours only consider is save cost on electricity bill.
whereby Non- Inverter is just on for a few hours like 2-3 hours... then it is just fine.

is this true?

Nope once inverter started the saving is on because of the dc motor....

inverter is more economical/electricity friendly for long lasting usage, eg: more than8 hours of operational mode..

but one has to remember, the inverter set is more expensive... the parts is more expensive... the service is also double than non inverter aircond...

if u use pretty much 8 hours a day, non inverter would suffice...

so the non inverter is using the AC motor?

Parts? Aircond seldom repair right? Only need to pump gas and do chemical servicing once a year right?
maybe that chemical service is more expensive compare to Non inverter one?

My usage is just ngam ngam of 8 hours a day .... so need not to change to inverter?

my living room changed to 1.5hp inverter, after on 30mins already slow down compressor power, current draw from 4.3A reduce to 3.5A, another 1-2 hour 2.9A, minimum ever seen with compressor running 1.8A during mid night. we set temp 25'c varies blower fan speed depend condition. i would say inverter aggressively reduce compressor speed to save electricity.
previous daikin R32 and old toshiba 1.5hp non-inverter full time 4.3-4.5A same living room same mounting position.

modify to pull the live wire longer to outside of the switch box, use clamp meter to measure.
