Hi all.. I am glad to joint the growing camry hybrid family owners club.. Placed my order and will be getting my new ride next week.. Really having tough time sleeping at night waiting for her..

May I know how long you waited to get ur car after you place ur order? I am still waiting for my SA to get back to me, he cannot confirm now because he told me Toyota HQ will do the allocation at the beginning of the month???

initially planned to use the new car for coming long weekend during Deepavali, seems like this is not going to happen. sad.gif

Went to UMW service center to complain they agree it is noisy. Then when I went for the insulation install appointment, hq want to compare with another car. The result is both car is the same so won't install.  Their reason is this car already have medium insulation. Plus nobody had complained. Wasting my time.

My other 2 complains are wind noise at 100km/h. 1st time bring in to sales center the service advisor say it is by design for aerodynamic. 4th time bring in to UMW only lowered by 70%.  After adjusting door becomes tight. I also found door frame gapping at side mirror not even. Tail pipe not with bumper space, they can't adjust.
*
I totally agreed with you, it is very frustrating complaining to the service center and yet they can't give u a satisfactory explanation or solution. They gave u a lot of crap....

Got my car within 2 weeks of my booking. That also because the colour that I want don't have ready stock. Ready stock car should be no problem. Plus, maybe they have a lot of ready stock because they are doing roadshows everywhere. Last time at Aeon Bukit Tinggi, upcoming Setia Alam Mall.

Try to go to other sales centre.

Front bar + rear bar will do.
Basic setup will improve your handling.

Spend some money on getting some soundproofing parts, like foaming, orsen shield etc.

Foaming and orsen shield, you can get it from smmotorsport.
Head to garage sales and look for this seller.

They have other soundproofing products too.

Hi all forumer,

1. Toyota meritz, anybody register and using it?
2. do you all experience one off jerking effect when in P position with handbrake on when engine kick in(due to low battery). because I don't feel much effect when car in moving only can hear the engine noise. it is normal?
3. The small battery that supply 12V DC to whole system using deep cycle battery, if this battery need to replace according to saleman can use the normal 12V battery on market, because this battery wasn't cheap. It is true?
3. After read thru some information, this is 3rd generation of hybrid system, the e-CVT different previous version or prius, it doesn't have steel chain belt, torque from engine not enough need from motor to give speed up and bla bla.. so is means the car will not run properly if battery gone.. any comment/correction??

I did UR rear & front H bar on my much older Civic FD b4 my sonata. Well tremendous improvement on handling for sure BUT you have to forgo the quiet & softer ride thereafter. A year after installing, I decided to removed the front H Bar to reduce the road noises & hard suspension.. well this minimise abit but not much and I carried the hard rear suspension till I disposed off the car 4 years ago for Sonata.

So my suggestion.. if only u willing to forgo the softer & quiet ride, try not to add those bars

If your car has good suspension, the bars should not affect your suspension.
Perhaps Honda Civic has poor suspension setup.
Camry has better suspension than Civic. That's for sure.

For my case, I have quieter ride after installing the strut bars, especially when I cross the hump.
By the way, I use spring buffers too.
You can install spring buffer (remember, get the premium grade spring buffer, never get those "red-color" cheap buffers. It makes huge difference).

Well anything that improved the handling for sure will result in less comfortable ride. You might forgotten your much comfortable ride b4 the installation. On my sonata, which is having better handling than Civic (Confirmed), I did not ass any UR but 1.5 year after owning, I changed to bigger 18" rim and this resulted in an overall much better handling BUT the bad thing - the comfort level also gone cry.gif

I have decided not to add any UR or even switch to bigger RIM once I get my new Camry this Sunday sweat.gif
