Is anyone interested in purchasing a set of lock nuts to protect the rims against theft? I was quoted RM 180 for TPI lock nuts (4 nuts intotal ) which are supposedly better than your average lock nuts. If there's enough interest here I might be able to get a bulk discount for everyone .

Certainly the service cost will be higher than non-hybrid car after 3 years warranty ended. After 3 years any problem occur will need to send back to Toyota SC and it is a must, because no 3rd party workshop can handle hybrid car especially it requires specific knowledge and equipment to diagnose hybrid car. 8 years warranty is solely on battery only, 3 years on engine and hybrid components etc. Since you consider as heavy user as per your work nature, you really have to think further before deciding hence rm160k+ car is not cheap...

don't be silly . of course u can change your oil or brakes outside service center. u think normal services requires some kind of special magic ?

Damn that's cheap. Unfortunately it's already ordered so I can't back out now. Hopefully other members will be aware of the best price on the market.

I read that the 8 year warantee is only valid if the car has been serviced only by Toyota

which option is better ?

1. continue servicing at Toyota service center from years 4-8 in order to maintain the battery warranty.

2. service at outside workshop starting from year 4 onwards and forget about the battery warranty

I'd prefer to keep it at Toyota as Hybrid is a complicated thing to get serviced outside

Does anyone knows the escalation to Toyota Malaysia? Either the branch manager or Regional Manager of UMW in Malaysia that we can write to ? Preferably an email address to route to . Appreciate your share and information pls. This is regards to malfunction of the Hybrid pulling to left and no one from service center could rectified. Im afraid of getting a Lemon . Thanks

Do you mean when you take your hands off the steering, the car pulls to the left on a straight Road? If so, seems like it is a simple wheel alignment problem - easily rectified. The service centre should be able to fix it, so can many of the type shops. Good luck.

Hi guys, I have just ordered the new camry hybrid, I get 12K rebate and 500 voucher.

I would like to know why most of the user here choose the pearl white. I wanted to go for pearl white but finally decided to get the black as white is difficult to take care and maintain.

basically I was attracted to camry hybrid because of the FC, currently I am using a Livina 1.8, with 17" rims. full tank can only run about 370-400km.

Hope to learn new knowledge and get some information shared from you. cheers

I'm no hybrid expert, have only driven my cousin's hybrid. I guess to get good fc at Hwy,the car must not exceed electric motor speeds. That can be quite boring especially with a 2.5 litre engine.

How about short sprints. Like accelerating to overtake or a bit of spirited driving?
