It should be FREE although you didn't use it because the TnG card if offered by CIMB. Call to CS and ask for RM10.60 refund.

interesting card application from CIMB @ Sunway Pyramid today.

1) reached the bank, applied CIMB CR Plat on the spot. 1-hour approval. EPF statement printed. no other documents provided. free gift: umbrella brows.gif

2) went for lunch, waited for 1 hour, no SMS approval text received (even until now). went back to check status.

3) manual status checked. APPROVED. immediately printed the card at the back-office (can even hear the printing/embossing sound) laugh.gif another free gift: Travel bag, Atler brand. drool.gif

So it is better to go to branch to apply than applying online?

since just 1-hour approval, why not, right?

U can request for refund, but, it is up to bank management decision to refund or not.

I suggest email to cardcentre@cimb.com and ask for termination & refund.
I called last time, end up no news. I emailed 2 days ago, and received reply today saying they have terminated the card, and in the midst of reversing the fees.

the correct term should be credit card service centre. usually branch don't give you those free gifts.

i told them i did not apply for ZING card when applying the credit card, if they do not waive it, i will bring this to BNM as this is without the consent from the applicant.

No petronas card please. It is useless. For pumping petrol and Annual income not so high, suggest UOB one card or you preferred CIMB, then go for cash rebate card --2% everyday for petrol plus other benefit

Not necessary but if you want to have unbilled statement monitoring, you need to link it.
