Hi all,

I am using gmxt with my nokia phone and find that hassle without touchscreen. but still works.

instead of buying a full fledge gps unit, i was thinking of getting a used PDA and install either GMobilePC or GMXT on it. but using an external bluetooth gps receiver.

All i need now is a PDA....any recommendations? since I might be using a GMobilePC....any windows PDA works?

thanks

For PDA recommendation, you can use the pinned thread.

If your gonna get a PDA with GPS function, i suggest getting one which has built rather than getting one and using an external unit for a receiver.

a question:

VirtualGPS, specifically http://www.kamlex.com/index.php?option=com...task=view&id=34.

In general, do they require data connection?

I think that one is something like google map...yes, it does need to have a connection.
And I dun think it will be accurate at all...I think the very first Nokia with so called GPS were using those.

Take it from me, if your PDAphone dun have gps capability, use a bluetooth GPS module.

Using Satellites for navigation is the way to go.

Ah okay. Nah, wont wanna use an external bluetooth GPS receiver. I am using the maps for guidance, wondering if those virtual GPSs are as good as they say.

Thanks alot for your explaination.
