your router ip is usually 192.168.1.1 for most default settings.

if u wanna know your router ip.... go to Run>type 'cmd' without the '' when ur in the black screen....type 'ipconfig' without the ''...the Default Getaway is your router's ip....

and if yur refering to 218 or 219 thats IP Address not router address.. u can check it by entering the router's page....

Notice that it's now been a few days since lag of about 1500ms. If you check your tracert, you'll see that the packets are travelling through "ALTERNET" rather than "LosAngeles" and "attens". That was the result of this:
http://isp.tm.net.my/html/news_details.cfm...&type=News&pg=1

Today, 5th June, tracert shows that Streamyx is now back to using the proper route "LosAngeles" but the ping is still 900ms average.

I tested this using 218.111.x.x . Can somebody with different IP give their results?
Thanks.

Not too bad I think. What IP are you on?

Ping-wise it's 1kms but in-game I'm getting 2kms. 218.111.x.x is NOT recommended at the moment.

I got 218.208.x.x - the ping in-game is about 500ish (yellow) so forget 60.x.x.x because in-game it's actually 1k-2k

my girlfriend and i just started playing on dunemaul yesterday coz i've got a high level friend there to help us out but the ping we are getting on dunemaul ranges about 1k - 4k+ ping.. cry.gif

If anyone here plays on Dunemaul, how do you get around the horrible lag on this server? Thanks

Btw, both of us are on 1mb connection.

p/s
there are over 60+ pages here and yes i am too lazy to read, sorry if theres been a way to fix or get around the lag and i missed out, so can anyone please post it up again? Thanks. notworthy.gif

edit
hm i think it seems to be ok now, this whole day we've been getting 3xx - 5xxms, only occasionally we get some lag spike, but alls good today

very lucky these few days... 218.208 ip on 1st or 2nd reconnect. 300-500 ping :9

most common method is to use www.myipaddress.com to check ip. Keep reconnecting till u get 218.208.xx.xx ipaddress AKA iphunting.

Nice... Actually, its still the area u're in.

My friend stays in Kelana Jaya, and 218 is every elusive. ><" If he does get it, the line will drop in minutes.

I have no problems getting 218. I stay near Menara Telekom. Wonder if that is a possibility? shocking.gif

I just bought WOW and installed it for the first time. It downloaded the 1.11 patch after I have created my account (all the screens seem normal here).

Right after my patch installed itself and WoW auto launched the start screen (User Agreement) and all the following screens were scrambled. There were bits of graphics flickering and obscuring the view of the screen.

I don't know if the patch file is corrupted or not (it installed without any issues) but I'm now downloading it manually...which will take hours on my connection. Paid good money for this game and it isn't even working properly in order to play it first time round....

Hope someone can shed some light on this issue. My system specs are as follows:

Athlon 1.4GHz
Nvidia GF3 64mb @31.40 drivers
Windows 2000 @ DirectX9.0c
512mb DDR RAM

Try updating your graphic card driver. And if you can get into the game, you may want to play on minimal settings as your system is a little below the recommended spec. Hope it works for you smile.gif

anyone else getting sudden latency problems of 2-10k in the past few days since 9pm on the 9th of July? My connection has always been ok (500-700ms) but since that day i have so much lag. I never disconnect my modem or router so whatever Ip it must be same as b4.
I live in Ampang area and i also tried conenction in cyberjaya. same thing, since that day both area also have bad latency. How do i fix this? is streamyx doing soem maintenance?
