Hi guys, I just installed patch1.11 downloaded using the blizzard downloader but after installing it all my start screens and login screens show abnormal lines...the graphics all look screwed up  cry.gif

I haven't even got the chance to even play it yet and now it is broken.... cry.gif

What should I do, anyone can help?

I just bought WOW and installed it for the first time. It downloaded the 1.11 patch after I have created my account (all the screens seem normal here).

Right after my patch installed itself and WoW auto launched the start screen (User Agreement) and all the following screens were scrambled. There were bits of graphics flickering and obscuring the view of the screen.

I don't know if the patch file is corrupted or not (it installed without any issues) but I'm now downloading it manually...which will take hours on my connection. Paid good money for this game and it isn't even working properly in order to play it  first time round....

Hope someone can shed some light on this issue. My system specs are as follows:

Athlon 1.4GHz
Nvidia GF3 64mb @31.40 drivers
Windows 2000 @ DirectX9.0c
512mb DDR RAM

Try updating your graphic card driver. And if you can get into the game, you may want to play on minimal settings as your system is a little below the recommended spec. Hope it works for you smile.gif

Better to use Oceania servers right? They are located in australia no?

All servers for the North American version of WoW are in the US. The Oceanic servers are also in the US, but on the east coast I believe. Oceanic servers were made to cater for players in our timezone, meaning having servers with +8gmt timestamp so players in our timezone can gather in the same server, how servers on the east coast in the US are meant to cater for east coast players. You can choose which server you want to play in, but it'll affect your experience with the server community if you join a server where players are 12hrs or more behind our time.
