Oceanic servers were made to cater for players in our timezone, meaning having servers with +8gmt timestamp so players in our timezone can gather in the same server, how servers on the east coast in the US are meant to cater for east coast players. You can choose which server you want to play in, but it'll affect your experience with the server community if you join a server where players are 12hrs or more behind our time.
