I'm using the latest one available at apkpure. As for DNS.. i had to disable DNS or VPN as aotg is geolocked, if DNS/ VPN on the app will detect different region and refused to play.

Hi... can you explain in more details how you use the DNS or VPN to work??
I'd tried but latest Astro Go refuse to work on my side.

Yeah.. Obviously. This isn't Astro where you can have one dish and 2 separate decoders.

Same here, have to wait for it to load for a while or fast forward a bit to sometimes make it smoother...

Hi been recently signed unifi with this STB.

Was trying you method but unforturnately stuck as below:

Attached Image

When I clicked "connect" after password, it is blank. Not sure this method is still workable?

Oh, my STB is on and remain at home screen..

Kudos for reading.. Best to get a keyboard cuz its an easy workaround.. no PC or whatever needed.. Good luck.

Not off topic. Pretty much any normal pc usb keyboard with the ctrl key should do. Wired or wireless. I used my Logitech keyboard.. Technically, you only need it to install a single app (a file manager) and then no more.. Afterwhich you can download apks unto a USB drive using a computer or phone with otg.. The rest...zzzzz

Yes I know.. I mean I want to install the keyboard apps that with ctrl features, instead of using google keyboard (as i know the stock keyboard should be google keyboard). But not sure those keyboard apps is it compatible for STB or not.

I'm thnking that I will install file maanger first and keyboard apps with ctrl feature. So in future I just use the same method (ctrl + J) method to dl any apks file I want, and use file manager to install it in STB, instead of using the real keyboard or thumbdrive etc to install the apps.

Oh I see.. I strongly doubt you'd ever find an Android software keyboard with the ctrl button.. Cuz like on Windows PC the button CMD doesn't exist.. No use.. Just get an external keyboard and do it.. Borrow or buy.. In less than 24 hours you'd resolved this.

However, my primary advice is junk that box or use as Hypptv only and get you a better box. Saves time and headaches biggrin.gif

Ah.. Thanks for sharing.. You mean yours had the Play Store and it allowed installation directly to the STB? What firmware version are you running?

Hellow.. back again.. with some news. New FW is being rolled out by TM soon which will update our boxes again. News is from an acquaintance who works at TM. Their updating the fw to have all the hypptv stuff updated to become unifi branded. Don't have the rest of the specs on hand to review but there shouldn't be any tech updates on it. Our current workaround is still gonna work. Good thing their coders haven't bothered patching the native droid browser.. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

AFAIK, those icons can't be removed. I wouldn't bother about it.. not like you'll be staring at the launcher all day.  smile.gif
*
Actually, you can remove those. As an OCD-lang I find those really annoying and did manage to get them removed. That said, I can't recall exactly how. I'll update again once I remember. You will need an airmouse and / or touchpad remote though.. sweat.gif

If you're running the updated fw that has playstore removed, you end up with a catch-22. You need hacker keyboard app that is on the playstore.. but, at the same time, you cannot get apps install without the keyboard. Lols.
