Hi all,

How do you all managed the latest TM HyppTV Huawei EC6108v8 storage??
Is only 2GB right? but systems and data already used almost 60% of it.
It seemed not enough and almost full. I only installed Kodi & MxPLayer.
I did disable some pre-installed apps to get more storage but still storage is in critical level now.

Clearing cache didn't help much..

One quick question: Anyone here downloaded Astro On The Go app in Playstore and link it to your Astro account (or friend account if you'd already terminated Astro service)?

One could safe money by using friend's Astro ID (with their consent) and enjoy it in your STB under TMUnifi line. You'll got the best of both world....

Yes, I thought about it and there might have some codec or plugins restriction... But for sure we could use PC or laptop to launch IE, Mozila and Safari.

I just got a very good friend of mine sharing her Astro ID with me..

Attachment shows Astro allow up until 3 authentication/registered devices to be loggin for this On-The-Go service.

Well, FYI I'd terminated my Astro long ago and just wish now I got the best of both world.. umm to be exact free Astro.. huhuhu..!

Yes.. that's why my friend isn't use her ID for the Astro on the go at all. It's kind of her letting me use it now..

Just tested yesterday night after got home. Our playstore in Unifi STB doesn't allow to install Astro On The Go app. It's says incompatible. So I downloaded the apk using browser and transferred it via USB thumb drive and installed. Installation authentication with genuine ID all worked well.. streaming astro sports channel is absolutely beautiful..!

The app and its streaming is quite smooth in our STB though. But you'll need mouse to navigate in the app menu/contents. Streaming sports channel is like watching from real Astro decoder and far better than streaming sports from Kodi. So no complain here as it is absolutely free.

It's actually follow your(the owner) Astro subscription. But not all the entire package will be exactly in the AOTG. However, I'm onto this mainly for the Sports channels.. . Don't know about Unifi 10Mbps as I'm using Unifi 30Mbps.

For those who really into Sports.. My advise is go and try it.. it is the best we could get on nearly perfect sports streaming in high quality without stuttering/buffering.

I have less item.. disabled Calculator and Voice Search too... Never use them anyway..

Kodi - Program - Android Apps - Settings(two Settings here, choose the Android original Settings) - Manage App - Disable

Ex file explorer - internal storage - remove/delete all junks/unwanted files/folders that not associating anything.

Kodi - Program - Android Apps - Settings(as above) - Manage Storage - Clear Cache

Exit Kodi - restart HyppTV STB.

Note: You might have run the same steps as I did.. well, different people gets different luck sometimes..



Currently had already removed browser & google settings as well.. never use it anyway..

Google Apps require "Google Play Services" to run all the time..

HyppTV just launched Fox Sports HD. You'll get all the Fox Sports Channels and it's free until end of September..

I accidentally uninstalled playstore from my tm-box. Now how do I reinstall it back. Well I also don't have es file explorer installed. Please someone assist here. Thanks.

Can it be sideload Without esfile explorer?

My Astro OTG also keep prompting for update, now can not watch astro.
No Playstore and no es file explorer to do the job.

My 2nd Hypptv box is still no update. What I had done to this box..

1. I use Google DNS.
2. I change the Admin and Operator login ID and Password.
3. I'd restricted to specific Mac Address to connect the WIFI.
4. I had configured the HyppTV connection to a Wireless by enabling 2nd SSID specific for LAN port 4. So no more cable.
5. I had removed the update link in Settings -> Maintenance.
4. Playstore Settings - Manual Update.
6. Always Switch-Off the box after use.
7. Teach the Wife & kids not to accept any update prompt by quickly switch the box Off button.
9. Always prepare $$$ to buy new box in case worst thing happen.
10. Sit back and relax with Home-Made Nescafe while enjoying your entertainments..!

I'd configured mine and it worked marvelously. So you would end up having two SSID(Wifi network) after the settings are done.
Word of caution.. be very careful in thinkery when you're in the admin settings.

I have Youtube-TV apk downloaded and side load it to the box. It work perfectly for the family..
The one from playstore would not work and Youtube in Kodi not really user friendly.

Hi... can you explain in more details how you use the DNS or VPN to work??
I'd tried but latest Astro Go refuse to work on my side.
