Hi, I just found out that hypptv box can install apk file. I installed astro OTG but it gave "no connection " error. How to fix this? Anyone know..

Edit: found out the culprit. DNS not setup properly.

Can anyone tell me how to install apk on this tv box? previous method seems no longer working, i can't connect to it using huawer stb management tool so can't use adb to install apk.

What firmware version are you on? Browser ctrl+j trick didn't work?

I install from ES File Explorer but Google Play store is not working. Beside, others apps such as RSS apps can't stream any video and pop out "Can't stream on this device".

Any one can help on this matter?

I'm using smart DNS / getflix DNS.

I'm using the latest one available at apkpure. As for DNS.. i had to disable DNS or VPN as aotg is geolocked, if DNS/ VPN on the app will detect different region and refused to play.

hey all, my mom has been talking about wanting to download/upgrade/modify/hack the UNIFI HYPP TV Box in order to watch more channels.. Apparently you pay a RM100 for them to download/Jailbreak the Original HYPP TV box to access more channels etc.

Is there such a thing or is my poor mom getting conned by a lolyat cinabeng? If so, is she being charged fairly? Thanks yo.

Your mum isn't being conned.. She's merely paying some fella to do what most of us do ourselves.. Do yourself and mum a favor.. Read thru at least the last 20 or so pages to get the gist. If you still can't do yourself.. Feel free to pay someone else.

I did read thru some blogposts saying if we didnt do it properly the whole unit might koyak.. so i was a little worried to proceed further since im not a tech person.. No lah.. The browser ctrl+j isn't hacking per se.. It's just exploiting a loophole in the firmware. You aren't rooting or doing any heavy modifications. So it's perfectly safe. No worries. Done it myself.. Others too and not a single issue. However, I did it on mine just for kicks, as I prefer using a much better Android box (Minix Neo U1) as my primary player instead. And yes there's a difference.. To me, the Hypptv box is not worthy and riddled with performance issues. Sure, for simple needs, it's okay. But for anything higher? Nope. There are RM2xx+ devices that greatly outperforms it.

IMO, since you are a beginner.. Just try with the STB first and get the hang of it.. You'll know when you require a better box.
