It's the box.. I experience the same on my Samsung TV versus PQ from my Minix Neo U1.. If you are particular about such like me.. Then definitely get a better box. But first, make sure that the source file you are testing with the box is actually true 1080p and not upscaled 480p/720p.

i'm using c7 v2 with lede, tried tagging a new ssid to iptv vlan. it works at first, after few days doesnt work anymore only satellite broken logo came out. ntp and drm thing was succesful. using cable iptv works fine. any idea why?

My Unifi IPTV box is Huawei EC6108V8, I checked, it's Android version is 4.4.2

It reply system is up to date.

Imagine it's Android version is 4.4.2 while most of the Android box on sale now have version 6 or even version 7 and phone is version 8.1 now.
Don't you worry malware will come in to infect this Android box?

Kek.. Let the malware come.. It'll take one look at the specs and OS version and delete itself.. Kidding aside, to be fair, TM gave the box for purely Hypptv purposes and they tried to ensure that it only ran through a cable connection and a specific port that isn't allowed to be use for regular internet purposes.

I get where you are coming from, except that any decent malware won't have an issue infecting a device with much higher specs and running Oreo. Universal rule of internet safety, it starts from the user itself.

I was using hypptv on astro go during the world cup period. suddenly over the weekend it cannot manage to watch to due some error . i tried many time uninstall the OTG and chrome apps( for the login ) . even factory reset the hypptv and reinstall everything also cant be able to manage to successful login. " error keep saying ( bad response ) ".

I had check on my phone and laptop OTG was working fine. just the hypptv is giving me a hard time trying to get it back up.

was working fine with older version of chrome which say not supported at once. Even i tried many version of update chrome also it didnt work .

Can any sifu here guide me to my problem ? please.

You should login on pc via chrome and choose logout from all devices then try again

hi, got the v8 white stb and using unifi 50mbps.
tested the speed using chrome browser, tested using http://speed.time.com.my

on my wired pc getting 50mbps.
on phone(wifi) getiing 50mbps.
...but the stb only gets 15-20mbps max. both on wifi and wired (lan cable to port#2).
is it the box limitation or any workaround to this?

Spitballing here.. But It's my understanding that the STB is connected to a specific LAN port with a dedicated 20Mbps line mainly (if not purely) for Hypptv live Tv, VOD, etc streaming. As for the WiFi speeds, could either be a firmware or hw limitation too... For most online streaming, getting 20Mbps should do the job..1080p.. So you won't be missing much. But if you've tried all and would prefer higher speeds.. Then have to shop for a better device.

this stb ec6108v9 have no browser or es explorer so ctrl+j is not applicable for me.

can i flash the update.zip which from v8 version to my v9? just to maybe recover playstore? i backread that someone bricked his stb by flashing dont know if he uses the v8 update.zip or v9 to flash.

Oh I see... Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I can't help further and yes, you can brick the device by flashing the wrong firmware or file.

Need some info. this box can connect using wifi? How is the picture quality/stability, any disturbance? now using old grey box, thinking to change but have some reservation on the wifi connection. If wifi ok, want to use port4 for internet instead

Hi. Just reinstall fresh AOTG from the APKpure. Log In into your account and don't press OK on any pop up window. It should work.

Depending on your router setup, you'll likely need to add dhcp ip reservation for the box on top of the vlan tagging.


It's a common problem on a lot of droidboxes. For some reason or another, the connection speed very very very rarely tops out 75-80% of your max like other devices. Much less hitting anything above 90%. Typically they max out at 40-50%. Issue : net drivers. Fix : ignore it unless you gots linux network coding knowledge. Temp workaround that sometime works : kill running apps that use any sort of bandwidth.
