i actually want to stream those movie/drama from apps....i dont think those apps from hypptv server right?

i wan place my hypptv box at downstair living hall...while my router on upstairs...

I believe when you stream from your apps, it it utilizing the same bandwidth with internet as it is not dedicated from VLAN 600

I just 'downgrade' my white huawei box from the mandatory update last few months .

Still with the old firmware, I install a few Apps such as Kodi and Astro_On_The_Go.

I would like to ask , if I now enable the update , can my apps still works after the firmware upgrade ..

The reason i wanted to upgrade is that, i would like to use build-in app [iflix] within the Hypptv app.

After the updates. the apps you installed previously should be working. Mine did but the playstore and google setting will not work anymore.

Just need to know whether we can use the remote to input alphabet? (I tried to setup the wifi and iflix but only number can input using remote.) Or it is impossible? still need to connect keyboard?

what version of iflix u used?

The screen keyboard should appear. If not you might have removed it accidentally?

Or you can get a RF mini-keyboard that comes with a USB plug-in. Is pretty cheap and useful.

Just got the white box after so long. While I use Raspberry Pi for my general Kodi consumption, suddenly need a kodi box for one TV room.

Thoughts on Kodi + huawei ec6108v8:

Will I be able to use this stb with other internet provider (e.g Maxis.broadband) using wifi connection? I understand hyyptv will not work but how about other 3rd party apps? Work with unifi only?

Nope. It will work with any Internet connection but make sure it's WiFi.

Yes. The box is just another lower spec android box that you can get on the market. Just make sure yours is not updated to the latest firmware by TM as playstore wont be working as well as apps like YouTube. You can connect using wifi.
