Change setting Unifi to Streamyx will force box to use login id/pw...you can then use wifi and any other Lan ports not just port 4...at least my V5 works this way...
AFAIK lite no more free box

Thats why I heard also. But how are they going to activate Hypp Tv if they dont provide the box?

Is the STB connected to the right port on the main router? Standard connection and not through some power plug, etc.
*
Must the stb me connected to the main router? Isit the main unifi router or wireless router? Is there a specific port of hypp tv on the router? Sorry, I just got this box an am still setting it up. Any help will be really appreciated.

The ideal/standard setup is that the STB be connected via ethernet cable to LAN port 4 on the main/TM supplied router. Some have been able to get it to work wirelessly, but will require extra equipment.

Thanks. Will try again tonite.

The pass code for the OLDER firmware is 3008.. Try that.. If it doesn't work, means you have been updated to the newer one.. If so, then my previous post still applies..

Noted with thanks.

That's probably because you are supposed to be using the specifically made for TM and that device Hypptv app. Anyway, you can try either of the following. Starting with the Tablet version first. FYI, the Hypptv Everywhere app is a tricky one and even on non-TM supplied STB, it's problematic and not all of your subscribed channels will work.

Phone version.
Tablet version....

Mine is the older firmware. Thank goodness. sweat.gif No need to downgrade back to the old firmware. The STB auto updates though, but I disabled the auto update.

USB?

As for YouTube.. You are not alone.. Search his thread for issues relating to YouTube. Frankly, I don't use the device.. Too much hassle.. Better off buying a more capable device..

Yes, cant detect my pendrive so that I can sideload apks from it. doh.gif

TBH, hell yeah. This is a rubbish box. Too much hassle to make it work. Just buy any Xiaomi boxes and it works like a charm. Even the stb itself is riddled with bugs. Hits and misses everywhere.

Luckily, this box is not my main driver for TV at home. Just wanna toy with it a bit since I got it from a friend.

hmm.gif maybe defective ports or the pendrive itself? Cuz the usb port on mine works.. Works for others as reported here too.. Try wiggling the pendrive in the port a bit or don't push it all the way in.. Probably get better contact that way.

Ya.. Mine barely gets switched on, except to watch local news.. It's either the TV's smart apps or the trusty Neo U1 box. For YouTube, I use the TV app. It's faster, easier to navigate, cast & queue videos from phone or tablet and best of all, don't have to power on the Neo U1 just for that.  biggrin.gif

The standard media explorer that is built in the box can detect the pendrive but not the es explorer. Did try with other file explorers but all nil. After using this box, I realized my Xiaomi Mibox Malaysia Edition is way way way much easier to use.

No, If you don't or are not bothered.

The TM white box has very low memory available even after a factory restore. You need to how how to removed other apps that is not useful to free up the space for the apps you wanted.

These box are okay. Is working fine for me if you now what that work best with it and how to install.
Utilize something that is free and make the best out of it.  smile.gif

Yup... was trying to do that but Im getting frustrated with it. Just need hypptv everywhere and youtube to run. Thats all.

Too bad and not unsurprising.. Try gaikon's suggestion.
Free isn't always good... It's 2017 boss.. No reason to continue living like "cave men"... No use building a tinder nest, making notches and spinning to get fire, just striking a match or lighter will do.. tongue.gif  Call it, me being older or having the budget. I'd rather have a not so expensive - expensive device that powers on, does ALL I require as per current popular media capabilities, and goes to sleep/shuts down like a boss, than a device I have to constantly cajole into playing or performing the basics of tasks.  biggrin.gif

You are right boss. thumbsup.gif No time for tweaking here and there. Just wanna come home and relax after work rather than fiddling here and there.
