Helo, im new here. Need sifu advise on ultra wide gaming monitor by acer.

Im using gtx1070 sli with a 6700k proc. Which monitor will suit me? The z35 or x34? I mostly watch movies and gaming.

Thx

Z35 is 1080p while X34 is 1440p. The latter of course, will be nicer. Will set you back by RM1k.

Thx for the info sifus. Any place got good deal for x34?

You can try Topmaid or Idealtech. But do be aware that there may not be ready stock. Best to contact them and book.

So true biggrin.gif Can only go forward.
I used to have a 23" Dell monitor as secondary beside X34A, but ultimately turn off after few weeks because I dont even need that 2nd display now, 2 chrome side by side are perfectly fine on ultrawide 1440P rclxms.gif

Is an ultrawide monitor for work useful?

I am interested to get one for my work place. I mainly deal with word and excel sheets.

Is the curved version more productive as compared with the non-curved version?

I think for large monitor like 34", because both far end of display will appear similar distance to middle, due to the curvature. I felt awkward when view non-curved 29" ultrawide monitor in store.

I think I will try out the curved monitor (ie. AOC 31.5 inch) I have at home first and then decide.

For work, I will try to go for the largest but cheapest monitor (without the bells and whistles). Don't need freesync, 144hz and etc.

Nice alternative, few spec need consideration. Using VA panel ( possible ghosting issue ), very curve ( compare to X34 ), no G-Sync ( depends on your card ), doesnt ship to Msia ( ebay link ).
Sadly, weak ringgit make this look-cheap-in-USD monitor not so nice for us, already 3150 direct convert. I think even if you can find one that ship here, with shipping cost ( at least 100USD due to weight ), it's not far from X34A sweat.gif Msia X34 price are much lower compare to US pricing, reason I'm jumping in few months back.

Acer Predator X34A definitely worth getting in Malaysia. It is the same price as the Asus version over here, which is like RM6,000 plus.

I think RM6,000 would get me a very nice 4K TV for my living room setup. Will look around.
