Any MacBook users with Benq 3280U monitor? Can review the monitor’s performance? Does it work well with MacBook M1?

For Dell, monitor purchase, I am in dilemma to extend the warranty from 3Y Basic Hardware Service with Advanced Exchange after remote diagnosis to 3Y ProSupport with Advanced Exchange after remote diagnosis or 4Y Basic Hardware Service with Advanced Exchange after remote diagnosis. Both also same, cost extra RM 131.13

Thank you so much for the respond. I know right, I have decided to extend it till 5 years with more additional charges, just for peace of mind biggrin.gif

And 1 more question, if I would like to connect my windows laptop USB C together with my MacBook Pro USB C to the monitor at the same time, since my windows will utilised the USB C port, then how can I connect to my MacBook? Either HDMI or Display Port? Then which 1 is recommended? And in this case, the HDMI or Display Port will not be able to charge my MacBook unlike the USB C port I guess.

hmm.gif Since both are Laptop with no HDMI/DP port then of course up to you to select either icon_rolleyes.gif Type-C is kinda quick-connect brows.gif

I prefer DP over HDMI notworthy.gif and connect Laptop to Type-C Hub to take advantage of the DP/HDMI port to Monitor

Take advantage of Monitor Type-C to charge my laptop seems will increase the power usage at the Monitor itself sweat.gif I just don't like it icon_rolleyes.gif

If you're thinking of getting both device online at same time with the same monitor maybe should consider Hub & Switch adapter icon_idea.gif

If your Samsung G8 is referring to Odyssey OLED G8, then YES it has Smart TV function & you're able to access Netflix.

Ah... Thanks for the reply. Yes, I am referring to Samsung OLED G8. I might be getting Ultrawide OLED by the end of this year, but I am not sure to go for G8 or Alienware DWF... rclxub.gif

hi guys, im looking to buy a curved ultrawide monitor, specifically UWQHD with a 1440 p height, which means 34 inch and a minimum of 100 hz. My budget is around 1.5K and im looking within the brand new & used market. And so far i have come up with these options.

The usage would be mainly be media consumption with light gaming but the games would be some FPS titles COD & PubG, Diablo & Sims. it will mainly be hooked up to a laptop until got budget for desktop to add on to it. if it helps, it will be Intel processors.

Would be great to have your opinion for which would be the best option. Those below are what i have come across so far in the price range.

1. Gigabyte - G34WQC
- 144 hz, 1500 R, HDR 400, 350 nits, VA Panel, FreeSync

2. MSI - MAG342CQRV
- 100 hz, 1500 R, Va Panel, 350nits, Adaptive Sync

3. Prism X340 Pro - 100 hz
- 100 hz, 1500 R, Va Panel, 250 nits, Adaptive Sync

4. Prism X340 Pro - 165 hz
- 165 hz, 1500 R, HDR 400, 400 nits, Va Panel, Adaptive Sync

5. Xiao mi - XMI-GMONITOR34
- 144 hz, 1500 R, Va Panel, 300 nit, FreeSync

6. Acer - X34A
- 100 hz, (doesnt mention curvature), IPS Panel, 300 nit, G-sync

6. Acer - X34P
- 120 hz, (doesnt mention curvature), IPS Panel, 300 nit, G-sync

7. Dell - S3422DWG
- 144 hz, 1800 R, VA Panel, 400 nit, Free Sync

8. Samsung - Odyssey G5
- 165hz, 1000 R, VA Panel, 150 nit, Free Sync

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to use a credit card installment plan on the Dell website? I'm planning to buy an Alienware monitor, however, I'm unable to choose the installment option when I try to check out. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Lazada, shopee and qoo10 allows 0% installment right on the website, but only if the purchase is more than 200.
Msia site im not sure, for Dell i dont think they provide installment unless explicitly stated on their website.

why use official dell website? it's more expensive imho
