For 34" OLED, Dell is the most value and worth to get.
However, is Dell reliability good for their monitor? I am trying to grasp its reliability and after sales services support, if compared to Samsung or LG
And I also notice there aren't many people discussing about some other brands like AOC, Prism+ , Gigabyte or Acer Predator series

After sales no idea.
AOC Ultrawide OLED monitor seems not selling yet and I think Gigabyte no Ultrawide OLED monitor yet. Prism+ monitor & TV never great, my area got one Prism+ demo shop and none of their display meet my requirement.
As for Acer Predator Widescreen OLED monitor - please don't buy, Acer make a big mistake without provide a way to disable ABL. ABL ON is big issue for screen brightness uniformity and it is very annoying in productivity usage as your screen brightness will change from time to time when enlarging or reducing white background apps. You can check Monitor Unboxed YouTube channel and the YouTuber also tell you no reason to recommended Acer Predator OLED monitor. It is similar cost but without the ability to turn off ABL (Auto Brightness Limiter).

Thank you so much Andrew, really appreciate a lot , you are so so so helpful for newbie like me.
Got myself the AW3423DWF last month and just after a week of usage the monitor has a vertical line that appears intermittently.
Contacted Dell and they can only replace it with a refurbished unit. I insisted on a brand new unit but they don't have it. What a bad experience What other options do I have?
Wah. This DWF is in my wishlist. Look like C2 48" is my only choice. Quite cheap for now Rm4k.

I suggest you check the actual unit first, if your seat distance is normal monitor distance, this 48" is freaking big, even the 42" I use now also feel a bit big.

The product itself is the best overall among the other similar options. I managed to get a whole unit replacement (WUR) from Dell which they claim is a brand new unit.

How far is your sitting distance? I have about 40-42inch wallmount distance to my sitting area.
hey guys, I am looking for 34" monitor for working purposes (programming), but non media production related. Budget preferably below 3k.
I found this dell s-series monitor, and it's VA panel. Wondering if Va panel really inferior to IPS, but this has 100hz refresh rate? Can I get some opinions on this, or if there are better monitors out there?

For working purposes, please don't get VA, VA had bad viewing angle and not suitable for screen sharing when needed, it is might impact to color output, beside this most VA panel had black smearing and ghosting.

Don’t ever take a VA panel. You will regret. IPS much better, eye comfort better.
Oh thanks for the advice. Any recommendations on ips 34 inch? I see a few are VA type. Oh ya preferably with usb c

Example: - Gigabyte M34WQ - Dell P3421W - Dell UltraSharp 34 WQHD IPS Curved LED Monitor - U3415W (no USB-C)
I am using Promate 8K @60Hz USB-C to HDMI Cable and no issue running 4K 120hz.
Ya a usb c monitor in my budget seems rather limited. Maybe i really should expand to non usb c monitor, thanks for all the recommendations. Maybe 1 last thing. From your experience with huge monitor, is curve monitor better for my usage? 34" is quite wide, just dunno the distortion near the edge is very bad? My usage would be sitting right in front monitor typing and coding.

Some people said Curved is distortion near the edge, but to me nope.
I will not pick Ultrawide or Super Ultrawide without curve as I prefer curve not only immersive in games but also easier to view during productivity.
For 34" it is better curve for me.

I tried to search around this thread for Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43 inches, surprisingly nobody even talking about it. Why?
First this 43" is Wide 16:9 aspect ratio not 21:9 Ultrawide or 32:9 Super Ultrawide.
2nd this 43" version is using old generation of VA panel with very low 400 local dimming zone only. It is not a good monitor like the 32" version. This model having issue like black smearing, slow respond, so so HDR performance and etc. Highly not recommended.
