definitely seal the deal for me.    now just checking who to get it from.

For my personal preference, 4K is not that suitable as a monitor - it is DPI kinda too high for a 32" 16:9 monitor (max monitor size I can tolerate).  If go bigger at 40", then have to stay quite a distance from the monitor which will defeat the purpose of large monitor, might as well just get a 60" 4K TV.  Not to mention 4K resolution will need higher end GPU to drive it.

In the contrary, 4K on TV is understandable as you will sit 2-3 meters away from it, so higher res on the larger 60-70" TV is always better. 

4K on the mobile phone?  What's the point? Can't really see much difference between my S8+ 6.2" 1440p and Mi Max 2 6.4" 1080p.  Unless of course if you put the screen 2 inches from your eyes (as in the case of VR).

Sure 1080ti first ( unless you wait volta or aim vega )    as 4K monitor need at least 1080ti to power unless you dont game.
Certain games can ( I only tested Doom @ 70+, NFS @ 60 ), certain games cant ( The Division @ 40+ )
Need that resolution, becoz 34" @ 1440P, ppi not enough

My main concern now is mode of delivery.  I am reluctant to send the monitor by courier to my office - too high profile for me as it will definitely create a chaos.    So I am asking a local computer shop to get it for me so then I can collect it from their shop after work and bring back home discretely. 

Even I can wait don't think I wanna wait anymore haha

LG also having promo on their monitors. Just ordered LG 34UC79-G for around rm2.3k. Yes i know it is only 1080p. I can't afford the 1440p right now.

This model now on promotion rm2599 right? the resolution sucks but if you are not choosy it will be ok haha

Of course native res la on 34. Just that 1080 maybe not enough sharpness for text? Please review hahhah

Just got myself the LG 34UC79G from Dotatech. A great 34" monitor. I dont see a big deal with the low PPI that everyone is talking about. Adjust abit of sharpness, it looks as sharp as my previous 24" with 1080p. Maybe its me.

Loving it. Freesync at 144hz is bliss. Now i understand why everyone says once you go 144hz, you will never turn back.

fonts res ok on that  screen? congrats man. hahaha
but i will be using nvidia cards. so no 144 for me.
