Thanks. Can't find this link or this filter if go MorningStar directly... Haha...

By the way, may I know is there any reason why PRS performance table only have 1 year annualized instead of 3, 5, and 10 yrs as normal fund?

1. Re-purchase (sell) of EPF funds can be done via PMO (Public Mutual Online).

(Only purchases under the EPF withdrawal scheme cannot be done online, as there is paperwork and your thumbprint is required for submission to EPF, before EPF can release any money.)

2. AFAIK, the cut-off time is the same over the counter at the branch office at 4pm. Walk-in customers usually don't have to queue and will be attended first... but you must allow some time to request the right form and filling it.

If I remembered correctly, the counter clerk will key-in the details on the spot and then time stamped the forms, before returning to you, your copy.

If you really need to do it personally at the branch office, it would be wise to call them first... who knows, maybe there is a recent change in the cut-off time that we are not aware of.

Cheer.

PS. Yeah, have noticed that the Public Mutual website and server is erratic over the past week... seems to be down several times during the critical hours from noon till 4pm. Yesterday (Monday) is the worse... only able to connect now after 2am - don't know whether to be annoyed or salute the IT guy who managed to get it up and running at this graveyard shift hours.  sad.gif

Very interesting since both of the funds are going to invest into Asia Pacific foreign regions, since starting price is only RM 0.25 per unit, worth to try a small punt. The idea of investing into China, South Korea and Taiwan seems not bad and better than invest into Malaysia's since crude price uncertain and slump of GST impact which prolong the political issues.

Prefer the Islamic's PIOEF since 98% of the NAV invested into liquid assets and FI securities.

Need to find out the promo 5% service charged and what is the T&C.

How do I inform PM of change of my correspondence address and is the process complicated? Can any PM agent or anyone who has done it advise me?

I asked my agent to do it and he said he has (true or not I dunno) but I am still getting mails delivered to my old address. It has been 8 mths and I am getting frustrated. He tells me he will check with PM but each time when I asked for status, he said he forgot to check.

Salam and good day guys,

i would like to know ur opinion. i'm on pief for around 5 years, doing direct debit every months. but, after this 5 years, i dont think the fund is doing great. my agent also "sleeping", no advise, nothing. and as a muslim, one more concern is i still have to pay zakat after i withdraw the money...

so, i'm thinking to withdraw all the money and park it in Tabung Haji. is it a good move?

Is it advisable to use epf acc 1 to invest in mutual funds? Will the return be better than epf yearly dividend?

Actually an agent engage me and ask me to invest in mutual fund. I have no knowledge on how to invest mutual funds. They told me is better than epf return. So shall I proceed?

May I suggest that you keep your money in EPF until you have made every effort to know more about investing in UTs funds especially with EPF monies and its risks associated with UTs investing....to see if you are suitable and comfortable with it.
