Hoping for a much bigger reaction to Greece than this. Not even 1% drop.

All key Asian markets were in the red, with Taiwan the worst hit, while at Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI skidded below 1,700 on fears of a fallout from the possible Greece default.

At 12.30pm, the KLCI was down 17.70 points or 1.03% to 1,692.77. Turnover was 950.38 million shares valued at RM696.50mil. Declining stocks hammered advancers more than seven to one with 745 losers to 102 gainers and 153 counted unchanged.

Out of interest, how much has Greece borrowed from IMF and others and what are the interest rates?

I know they also imposed some policy changes as part of the Greece's loans.

Cheerio.

debt due july is not big... <2B to IMF.. and they have no $$ to pay.. lol..... icon_idea.gif
and the total debt is not big too... 360B....

it's the uncertainty of a default or grexit that spook the mkt... wub.gif
and political issues... EU <-> Greece <-> Russia

i try to stay calm atm... not jumping in yet.... although they may come out with yet another last minute deal and mkt will turn 180 and rocket again...

if Fitch downgrades M'sia.. then there's another small dip to buy happy.gif
