Out of interest, how much has Greece borrowed from IMF and others and what are the interest rates?
I know they also imposed some policy changes as part of the Greece's loans. Cheerio. This post has been edited by plumberly: Jun 29 2015, 02:54 PM |

Informative.debt due july is not big... <2B to IMF.. and they have no $$ to pay.. lol..... and the total debt is not big too... 360B.... it's the uncertainty of a default or grexit that spook the mkt... and political issues... EU <-> Greece <-> Russia i try to stay calm atm... not jumping in yet.... although they may come out with yet another last minute deal and mkt will turn 180 and rocket again... if Fitch downgrades M'sia.. then there's another small dip to buy E 360 billion = RM 1,600 B = 35 X 1MXX ha ha |

If the figures I saw so far are correct, I don't quite understand why the Greece's effect (debt of some 350 billion E) is bigger than Shanghai's recent drops (more than a trillion US$) on global stock markets.
Greece existing Euro later has a big and negative multiplying effect? Cheerio. |

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Sep 14 2015, 01:45 PM) Malaysia's Najib delivers RM20b boost for stock market If my memory is ok, total worth of KLCI companies = RM 4 trillion ( 4,000 billion)http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/m...st-stock-market Will Bursa react to the news? 20 billion/4000 billion = 0.5% Can this ant move the Boeing 777? Being very selective in which to invest will determine the success or failure of this VS. Which companies did they focus on in the early years? Only KLCI main board companies? Sometimes I prefer not to have this type of bandage treatment for current cancer. Let it goes and then start from ground zero with better foundation. My 2 cents. |

Read in the paper than more than 65% of the stocks in the USA have dropped by 20%. This is not reflected in their indexes, DJ etc as the indexes are based on selected companies.
Like to know how are majority of the KLCI companies doing? Same, better or worse than what KLCI is saying? Is there an indicator for these companies not in KLCI index list? Thanks. |
