Managed to sideload the AOTG app 8.2.6.

Now just trying to deal with the screen orientation issue and mouse scrolling issues.

On another note, I was naively under the impression that AOTG would fully supported and work on boxes like the Mi Box. Such a disappointment that Astro doesn't support their customers using different ways to access their services.

I have 3 decoders at home and I wanted this Mi Box for my bedroom TV as I mostly watch Netflix but sometimes would want to watch Astro.

Astro wants you to use AstroGo on handphone and nothing else.

Too many issues of AstroGo on mibox. You should just use another box. Save time. But whatever boxes there is still scrolling issue.

astrogo built for mobile has never been fully supported on any non-mobile device - box or smart tv.
however, users could sideload old versions incl v8.2.6 and make it work.
the trouble is v8.2.6 may be decommissioned by 30 sep... so, u can keep using until then.

u can try out new version but so far, ATV devices suffer from judders on HD live channels.

Hey guys, anyone know if there's anywhere I can purchase the Mi Box S in store in KL/Subang thats not too much more expensive than what you can get on Lazada and Shopee?

Only reason is that I have the next few days off and it would be nice if I could pick it up and enjoy it rather than having to wait for delivery.

I've seen it at All IT Hypermarket at Digital Mall but it's almost double the price there.

Erm I bought from Shopee order 4/9, get it on 7/9. It think is fast too.

I bought from Melawati Mall at 329. Still a bit more expensive than online. But it was an impulse purchase lol.

That's better than RM399 at Digital Mall. Don't know if I want it enough to go that far for it.

Hi guys, i finally got my mi box s yesterday.
Bought from lazada during the 9.9 sales for rm220

Have few questions:

1) mi box only use wifi for internet connection. No cable. How to maximize the internet speed since im only getting around 100mbps and my unifi is capable of 500mbps

2) what are the recommended apps to download from play store?

I can get up to 500mbps in my phone. But I'm not getting the similar result in my mi box. Actually whats the maximum speed this mi box can handle?

The mibox is essential a low end box. Don't expect it has good CPU speed, good wifi chips, good usb transfer rates. It is only adequately design for it's purpose: streaming video.

Can buy ugreen USB to LAN adapter to get in connected to LAN cable up to 1GBPs. Work well on mibox S.
