QUOTE(JoeK @ Sep 13 2019, 11:06 AM) Hi guys, i finally got my mi box s yesterday. Bought from lazada during the 9.9 sales for rm220 Have few questions: 1) mi box only use wifi for internet connection. No cable. How to maximize the internet speed since im only getting around 100mbps and my unifi is capable of 500mbps 2) what are the recommended apps to download from play store? Thank you I'm subscribe to 100MBPS Unifi and connected my box to Ethernet/USB dongle and not using WIFI. SpeedTest shows I'm getting 100MBPS and it's fine for my streaming. FYI on the dongle-->UGREEN Ethernet Adapter USB Gigabit Network Adapter 10/100/1000Mbps/1 Gbps with USB 3.0 Hub 3 Ports.

QUOTE(leftist @ Sep 14 2019, 04:50 PM) Cannot..have to download apps..its ok i will googled it X-plore - to access files on both internal and external storage. File Explorer by Anker - Simple and easy to use on Android TV. Nova, VLC or Kodi(advance) - to play media files with ability to switch frame rate. MX player - play media files but w/o frame rate switch. Make sure to allow permission to access external storage on those apps. This post has been edited by juzmafia: Sep 14 2019, 11:54 PM

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 9 2019, 10:21 AM) astrogo built for mobile has never been fully supported on any non-mobile device - box or smart tv. however, users could sideload old versions incl v8.2.6 and make it work. the trouble is v8.2.6 may be decommissioned by 30 sep... so, u can keep using until then. u can try out new version but so far, ATV devices suffer from judders on HD live channels. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4405774/+520hopefully, a modified working ATV version will emerge in time. the good news is this new version does work fine on many other regular android boxes. How come everyone is saying 8.2.6 will decommission on 30 sep? Isn’t that just for the LGTV version? Will side loading a newer apk work? I use my AOTG on my mibox pretty regularly..

Heavy stuttering on HD live channels, which is basically all I watch lol. Football la basically. Reinstalling old 8.2.6 and hoping that they’ll figure out a way for the new version to work. Or I’ll have to hdmi in my laptop. Pissy shit. I’m an Astro subbed btw, but I use aotg for my bedroom.

Tvbox Hdmi connect to laptop breaks HDCP 2.2, because laptop display is not HDCP 2.2 capable. I don't know if there is a way for you to toggle HDCP 2.2 off on the TV side. If can turn off HDCP 2.2 on the TV side ( or connect to a non-hdcp 2.2 capable TV ) that will throw light to the stutter video problem.

Haha. That would be good. 8.2.6 doesn’t have cast feature though, right? New app does? If so I’d like to cast from my iPad. Also, I’m on Mac... is there a Mac app?
