Yeah, you can but there are two version of it. TV version and mobile version, you'll need to download the TV version Shafa Market apk.
TV version of course is optimised for TV box use and its easy to navigate using a remote control.
*
Yup. You can remote install too... it's quite good this app...

I am not sure but dont seems to get much of HK and Korean stuff from Shafa. It's better to search for other sources.

Anybody bought the mi box Malaysian version yet? I'm currently using KODI on my hypptv box but when viewing some HD content (example - BBC One HD from Freeview), the video is in slow motion (lag?). However when playing on my PC, the video is smooth. Wondering if I get the mi box, will it be smoother compared to the hypptv?

The model is MDZ-16-AB. It comes with June 2016 firmware and the updated firmware is dated October 2016.
It is the same like Mi box chinese 3S which are sold cheaper. The difference is the International version comes with Android TV and google cast while the 3S is using their own launcher and miracast.

Just joined the club icon_rolleyes.gif still playing with the original China firmware using GITV. Most of the contents have restriction, else slow buffering or paid contents.

Tried installed some of the famous live TV / movie apps, most of them cannot play due to region restriction. Also installed Kodi and added few addons, so far so good. Using everything stock yet, still considering whether rooting it since so far can install 3rd party apps without rooting.

Hi Guys, just a question on the box.

If I were to install Skype, will the box be able to support USB Camera?

Has anyone tried this before?

I'm officially a club member as well. icon_idea.gif Received my Mi Box official Malaysia unit a little while ago. Overall experience is nice, similar to my good old Nexus Player. I like the remote's tactile feedbacks.. Overall build quality is better than the Nexus Player, IMHO. The only drawback I'm seeing now is the updates for Android OS like other members mentioned, it's still running on Android 6.0.1 where as Nexus Player already running on 7.1.1 many months ago.

As for 4k performance, I didn't get to test it as I don't have a 4k TV. tongue.gif

Here's a photo with both sets side by side:

Just want to add that I notice that Mi Box has a lot more app selections especially games compared to Nexus Player, most likely due to the aging hardware for Nexus Player. I'll use Google Cast, Kodi and YouTube app most of the time but will definitely check out the games since I have 2 x Mi Gamepad Controllers. thumbup.gif

What Chromecast Ultra built-in features are you referring? This is Enhanced version with Patchwall, without HDR and 3D support. It also do not have 3.5mm audio jack compare with 3S version.

Can, using the stock app Miracast with Android phone no issues at all with a little latency (<1000ms) but casting with iPhone using AirPlay, only certain apps can be cast (Photos, cant remember what else) not the entire screen like Android.
