i tried to call tmnuts today to ask bout this slow download speed...but cannot reach...do u all have the same problem too?

I pay 2 account (RM176) /month , yet get only 10-30kb/s speed !! 

Love to...but they couldn't be reach at the moment....i submit my complaint 2 cfm which include an attachment of my bittorent d/l speed saying my download speed is way 2 slow even for a 512k package...1-2kbps only

i think if can, we highlight this throttling to the media...that would be an impact for tmnet,

I heard that the torrent throttling have been lifted in some areas. I have friends in Ampang and Bangsar downloading beyond 100kb...and I'm still at 10kb

I remembered checking Utorrent few weeks ago when TMnet started throttling our connections. Those people think we don't know how to use their Protocol Encrytion or don't know how to port-forward correctly. 
I am not sure if they are aware of our full scale of our situation, currently.

Guys, I am on 1Mb package.

I only just realize this throtling thing cause I haven't  really check up on LYN. No wonder I don't get any dl speed like before and I thought it was seeds problem.

So let me tell you what I am going to do when I can take time off to go to TM.

I am going to DOWNGRADE to 512Kb and I don't care whether TM allow or not.
Once I serve them the note personally at the help desk , I will pay the 512 rate.

A while back ,I held back payment of about rm250( i forgot the exact amount) for a year because they charge me extra rm15.
In between they sent me some s* email and I respond back.
Finally they agree the mistake and I pay them the correct amount.

On the legal side, it state " best effort " on the contract but throthling
definitely is not on the  "best effort" side.Its on purpose

So stop whining ,etc and downgrade

( And to think I took so much effort to upgrade less than a year ago and its a long story. Basically I have to discontinue my rm66/512 and apply again to get the 77/1Mb. They won't allow straight upgrade cause

Maybe you could just pay "half" payment at every month , just to keep your payment "live" , you know what I mean.

I was making complaints to TM, since the first day I applied streamyx. After so many years of "hardwork", I don't think complaints could make any changes. TM still cheat on us.

payment will still pay on time but just halfly paid. TM will not cut your line for this reason...can tell TMnut that you are not sure how much to pay ( since billl adjustment have not been done yet)

TMNet DOES NOT block BitTorrent ports, instead it put all the packets to LOW PRIORITY, and at times the packet can drop (if the delay too long) thus causing you getting low speed on BT.

It uses hardware based Traffic Shapper to do this, and intelligent enough to know whether it is P2P packets or streamyx packets. Note that it only put low priority on P2P packets, and HTTP & Streaming still get normal priority.

Why some ppl experiencing this while others dont?
That is because they have not implement this plantwide (due to cost factor). Maybe some of you get impacted by this, irregardless of 218 or 219 or 60 class IP.

For those who shared the same gateway, but some facing slowdown on BT while others dont, this is most probably users which has FULL SPEED is peering with other TM NET users. That is the reason you still get full speed.

Note all the information ABOVE is not provided by TM Net. It is based on feedback/report that I've read/heard/discuss

what ...?? that proof can bring any chances to our BT throttled ?? until now TM still sucking customers' money and never officially admit this.

How long tmnut will keep this bt shaping?
tmtnut should give official writing to msian that they dont support bt and put in their advertisement.

My streamyx keep on disconnected for the entire last week! Is this anything to do with they try to throttling our P2P?

Just like yesterday, almost the entire day I was unable to connect to internet, only able to connect for few minutes then disconnect for few hours, and came back few minutes and then disconnected again!!!

I live in Cheras, and one of my friend staying same area as me also have this problem... They are cheatting our money!!!

Anyone have the same experience or anyone know what is happening?
