I just tried tethering using my laptop.

Watched youtube and it doesnt consume data at all. Cool


Sorry checked back and it did consume data.

Just called the dealer. She said the total rm50 is consist of the month payment although I apply around 20th of the month. She said will charge full month and the rest is stamp duty. Then the rm30 deposit I pay didn't minus into the rm50... I also not sure now...

Sadly no but they still offer Old Plan that can get 2x validity.
Reload RM30 for 60days active period but doesn come with any free internet.
- Internet usage without UMI is PPU charges.

That is also why lotsa ppl already convert to new plan.. but nowdays Digi and Hotlink offer 8GB free data. Sooner or later Umobile will also offer something similar if not better wink.gif

But weekend only :/

I only need about 1GB per month, but it seems like all postpaids have a minimum of RM1/day to stay active anyway, not including data.

I believe only Digi has extended validity now? RM38 for a year, meaning about RM3.17 per month. With their cheapest data plan it would mean an additional RM20 for 650MB ... but no calls or SMS whatsoever.

DiGi SLL cost RM68/Year with free 500mb basic internet (DiGi New Best V2) *Open for all new subcriber.

While the RM38/Year SLL only valid for old plan (Best V4 and New Best V1) *New subcriber cant get this plan anymore.
