Just a sample calculation to arrive at your RM50.80 bill =
Stamp duty RM10.00
Advance access fee ("AAF") RM28.00
Access fee ("AF") (say, 21/4-30/4) RM8.40
Usage RM4.40
1. However, that AAF is actually a deposit as your next bill will show an AF of RM28. Remember to get this RM28 back when you port out of UMobile!
2. That RM30 Cosway deposit MUST be deducted from your bill unless that's Cosway charges and then it's NOT a deposit!
3. That usage of RM4.40 (just an estimate) shouldn't be there unless you call a lot, especially to landlines.
4. Request for your itemised bill!
When I signed up, I was asked to pay RM28 to the UMobile kiosk operator, Tony, who said that I have to pay this deposit. I told Tony that when my son signed up, he was not required to pay this deposit, & this deposit will be included into his bill but Tony insisted that I pay.
And when my 1st bill arrive, this RM28 that I paid was not shown in my bill. I texted Tony and he immediately paid the RM28 into my UMobile a/c!
P/s - When I went to Tony's kiosk a few days later, I was told that Tony had resigned! Imagine how much money Tony made with this simple scam!
Remember you don't have to pay a deposit to sign up with UMoblie as it will be billed into your 1st bill!!!
I don't remember calling more than 50 mins. Just called the dealer and she ask me to come over to check 😓
