That time I was attended Kumar and Yap (iirc), left there the car for two nights and came back with new gearbox, found out the gear shifts much smoother and quietier than before.

I know torque converter issues quite common wiht M2 but what about gearbox failure issues?

Gearbox torque converter issue still relatively just a handfull of cars. Out of those few, only a few bad luck ones experienced severed problem that requires repairs/parts replacement.

Many others experienced it once in a while. Like mine, 3 months old it happened once. Another time happend at 3 years. Car still driveable without any issue.

The most common issue is the knocking sound from either lower arm / steering / somewhere from the car 😂

If like that, how about 2016 version? Is it the same or better improvement?

Heard the GVC version has improved but not sure how extensive improvements were made. Perhaps GVC owners here can comment

2016 are same as 2015, except got LED headlight option. Regardless year, GVC are updated version, cant be sure if completely free from older version issue.
Mine 2015, got steering turning kruk-kruk sound, front suspension/strut bearing issue. Front suspension and strut bearing issue, claimed warranty few times over 2 years but still not solved.

yes, plug and play, 115D is higher capacity, better only slightly more expensive but last longer. The shop will help to reset istop etc if required. call the shop before you go, sometimes they go out for battery rescue.
