Tested not accepting: Giant Pandan Kapital and Giant Sungei Wang Plaza

They don't have Ambank terminals anymore at these 2 branches. Likely to phase out all branches.

And likely they are phasing them out as mentioned. Mercato Pavilion KL (under same parent company as Giant) also has Affin terminals only. If not mistaken Cold Storage KLCC (also same parent company) has Affin terminals only.

Update from Giant Pandan Kapital: the new large LCD cashier machine cannot link with Amex, so they kept all Ambank terminals. If you see only 1 terminal and the LCD display for customers, unlikely have Amex accepted (this has been ongoing replacements since Oct-Nov 2024).

All the Parkson stores, McD outlets and Petronas stations accept Amex, unless discontinued.

Huh, the one I went at Gurney had the LCD. When I mentioned AMEX, they went to get the AmBank terminal and disconnected the AffinBank one.

My Amex card has been used only for auto-billing only and it is all for electricity, Unifi, phone lines,Astro, etc. The main reason is it cannot be saved into my phone. I use wave through phone most of the time, lazy to take out wallet and then card out. laugh.gif

I actually saw one post in another thread stating KL East Mall outlet which is near my home no longer accept cc for top up. Because I will need to top up soon so I will go and try at other outlet and will report my outcome.
